History:

• Island of Lanai is a former pineapple plantation that once produced up to 75% of the world's pineapple supply
• Opened 1991, managed by Four Seasons since 2005

Location:

• Overlooks protected marine preserve of Hulopo'e Bay and neighbouring islands Maui, Molokai and Kahoolawe
• 25-minute flight from Honolulu, 45-minute ferry ride from Maui
• Frequent shuttles to Lanai City to explore the charming plantation town as well as access to hiking, horseback riding, archery, clay shooting and more in the green uplands of the island
