Originally from Germany, Loehr relocated to Southern California as an exchange student. After exciting travels around the globe and 20 years in the Santa Barbara area working in sales and management positions, his "wanderlust” and sense of adventure eventually led him to New Mexico where he fell in love with the amazing hiking and outdoor adventure opportunities. To him, “Santa Fe offers a great base for exploring the Southwest, as well as world class art, incredible culinary talents and a wonderful mix of interesting cultures.”

Loehr was part of the original opening team when the beautiful Rancho Encantado property debuted in 2008, serving in a variety of functions until accepting a general manager position at a Relais & Chateaux boutique hotel. Two years later, Loehr returned to the Four Seasons family to join the team at Four Seasons Rancho Encantado. His love of the Resort, as well as the outdoors, was always top-of-mind, and a particular passion for him was creating and leading the weekly “Hiking with Hans” program for guests around the picturesque Camino Encantado trail.

“My passion is sharing my love of the outdoors and this magical destination with guests who are visiting for the first time. There is no better reward than watching someone experiences the stories, culture and physical beauty of northern New Mexico through our curated cultural and outdoor adventure programs, and then begin planning their return trip!”

In his current role with the on-site Adventure Center, Loehr acts as a liaison between the guests and all Four Seasons departments, sharing details and firsthand knowledge of the guiding program and unique experiences to customise each individual adventure. When not assisting with planning fun, curated guest and group adventures, he is likely out researching new experiences, visiting with local tourism partners, and forging bonds with local artisans who can share their stories with Four Seasons guests.
