Research conducted by Washington, DC-based Corporation for National & Community Service shows that charitable work truly makes the heart grow stronger.

With that in mind, the People and Culture Department at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla created a variety of ways for employees and guests to give back to the community. One recently successful initiative was through “Books & Bins” where the six primary schools of Anguilla received new books and school supplies. Guests purchased more than 300 books so far from an extensive list online.  The online book registry will remain open all year as needed books and other items will continually be added and shipped to Anguilla.

Guests also participated in packing bins filled with a variety of school supplies with crayons, #2 pencils, pens, wide-rule notebooks, wall decals, teaching charts, dry erase markers, glue sticks, rulers, index cards, construction paper, and more.

In total, 1400 children will benefit from more than USD 8000 worth of school supplies and books.

The supplies were delivered to children in kindergarten through Grade 6 at the following schools:  Adrian T. Hazell Primary, Alwyn Allison Richardson Primary, Morris Vanterpool Primary, Orealia Kelly Primary, Valley Primary, and Vivien Vanterpool Primary.

“Giving back to the community is important to Four Seasons, and we continually seek ways to allow our employees and guests to contribute,” states Jose Adames, General Manager, Four Seasons Resort Anguilla. “It warms my heart to see the outpouring of generosity and to know that the Books & Bins are benefiting the youth of Anguilla.”
