Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora is dedicated to conserving energy and precious natural resources, as well as working to better the local community, all while consistently delivering an extraordinary and pampering guest experience. Some of the initiatives underway at the Resort are: 

  • Purchasing program used to seek out food and products that are locally and regionally produced and include recycled materials, whenever possible 
  • Comprehensive recycling program (including Nespresso pods) 
  • Energy-efficient lighting and heating and cooling systems 
  • Lo-flow toilets 
  • Use of grey water for irrigation 
  • Non-toxic pest control inside and outside of buildings 
  • Linens and towels changed every third day 
  • Conversion of worn linens and towels into housekeeping rags 
  • Solar panels on guest rooms to heat water 
  • Solar panels (2,300 square metres or 24,750 square feet)) on Resort buildings to provide 20 percent of electrical power 
  • Bamboo and paper straws (no plastic) 
  • Refillable glass bath product containers (no disposable shampoo, conditioner, lotion bottles) 
  • Led by our marine biologist, the Lagoon Sanctuary is a research facility dedicated to preserving marine life through education of guests and interaction 
  • Fishing prohibited around Resort to conserve fish and corals 
  • Annual Cancer Walk benefiting local charity 
  • Annual Island Clean-Up Day 
  • Support local animal protection association

From the use of environmentally friendly supplies and equipment, to the reduction of waste and use of new energy alternatives to nature clean-ups, Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora is on the forefront of green and community initiatives.
