Get Involved and Grow Together

Families or groups visiting Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica can meet local communities through school, cultural and other exchange programs with non-profit Creciendo Juntos / Growing Together

For guests who wish to make a difference while travelling in ways that are personally enriching for all involved, Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica can design a custom experience for families and corporate teams as a result of its participation in Creciendo Juntos / Growing Together.

This Peninsula Papagayo-wide initiative was created in 2001 to help provide education and economic opportunities and preserve tradition and culture for 19 different communities in the Guanacaste region. It is hoped that its recent new non-profit organization status will expand its outreach and impact.

Through relationships with local schools and organizations, Four Seasons guests and their children may volunteer in various ways:

  • Adults or children may become Backpack Buddies, filling a backpack at home with much-needed school supplies that will be delivered upon arrival to a student at one of 18 elementary and three area high schools, or can be personally delivered while school is in session
  • Families or groups may participate in school outreach programs, including tutoring, cooking and sharing meals, playing sports games, and building or supplying a new classroom
  • Families or groups may also support a family by providing meals, supplies or other needed goods, or even invite the family to join them at the resort for a meal and activities

The Resort is able to arrange five programs a day for five families or five individuals, and note that there is limited availability. Pre-advance booking through reservations is required, so reserve at time of booking or before your trip by calling the Resort directly at (506) 2696-0000.
