Winchester Christmas Market

Taking place from November 19 to December 22, 2021, the Winchester Christmas Market is recognised as one of the best in Europe, renowned for its unique location, handpicked high quality exhibitors and bustling atmosphere. The Christmas Market is inspired by traditional German Christmas markets and attracts more than 400,000 visitors each year. The authentic wooden chalets are situated in the Cathedral’s historic Inner Close, selling a range of tempting seasonal treats and delightful Christmas gifts.

Jane Austen’s Winter Exhibition

A must-see Hampshire attraction, Jane Austen’s House in Chawton was the author’s final home and where she wrote and revised her six beloved novels. This Christmas season will see the house host a special, multi-sensory exhibition with six scenes from Jane Austen’s life and novels. As guests explore the House, they will step back in time and experience six memorable winters of the past. Following the exhibition trail through the rooms Jane knew and loved, discover the bitterly cold winter of her birth, the happy January of dancing and flirting with her "Irish friend" Tom Lefroy, and her first reading of Pride and Prejudice.

The exhibition will run throughout December 2021 and Januar 2022, included in House admission. An online version will be available in December.

Paulton’s Park

Popular with children and parents alike, Paulton’s Park is filled with attractions for the entire family to enjoy. This Christmas discover a magical celebration of this special season from December 4 to 23, 2021.

This year guests can experience the new land Tornado Springs, magical illuminations, Peppa and George in their seasonal outfits, Christmas characters, a Christmas show featuring Father Christmas and of course, selected rides and attractions.

Watercress Line

A charming heritage railway lovingly named the Watercress Line, this railway attraction features four authentic period stations for visitors to enjoy.  December will see the return of the Steam Illuminations, a unique Christmas, pixel mappable digital LED train. New for 2021, guests are invited to travel through magical "snow" at one part of the ride and spot new light installations along the line. All guests are given an LED wristband (included in the price of the ticket) to wear on the train and take home after the event.
