Las Vegas often tops the list when travelers envision an adult getaway. Visitors are often surprised to learn how family friendly Sin City can be, offering activities and amenities for every age group. Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas Chef Concierge Patrick Ritschard shares the following tips for enjoying Las Vegas with the family:

1.   Location, location, location
Located at the beginning of the famed Las Vegas Strip and adjacent to Mandalay Bay Resort, Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas offers a non-gaming, non-smoking atmosphere perfect for families. Experience the excitement and energy of one of the world’s premier entertainment destinations, combined with the comfort and care of Four Seasons.

2.   Added-value extras
Traveling with kids can be challenging, and it is easy to forget necessities when packing. The concierge stocks everyday items like wipes, baby shampoo and powder. Need a crib? Just ask! Babyproofing also can be a lifesaver with toddlers and smaller children, and is provided free of charge upon request. In addition, children receive a treat and seasonal gift upon check in, which might include sunglasses or a backpack.

3.   Poolside options
Four Seasons offers a relaxing, private pool complex, ideal for families looking for a leisurely, relaxed setting. Those craving more adventure can enjoy exclusive complimentary access to the adjacent Mandalay Bay Resort water playground, complete with lazy river and wave pool.

4.   Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay
Families will love the Shark Reef at adjacent Mandalay Bay, featuring more than 2,000 underwater animals, including 15 species of sharks. An expansive shipwreck, offering a nearly 360-degree view of sharks and other fish through an acrylic tunnel, is the largest draw of all the exhibits. Younger children will love the touch pool, showcasing species such as horseshoe crabs, rays and sharks.

5.   Outdoor adventure
The Natural Wonders package is perfect for multi-generational families, offering a day trip to one of the natural wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon. Embark on a helicopter adventure via Maverick Helicopters to the Grand Canyon, and experience a private landing at the Valley of Fire. Or, venture to Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area for a variety of family friendly trails as well as educational guided hiking experiences.

6.   Take in a show
While many shows in Las Vegas are geared toward adults, there are plenty of options for kids of all ages. Check in with the concierge team to design an itinerary for entertainment for your family, choosing from options such as acrobatic performances, magic, comedy shows and medival jousting.

7.   Classic Las Vegas
The concierge can arrange a “throwback” tour of some of the most iconic spots around the city, perfect for older tweens and teens. Book a night tour at the Neon Museum, where the vibrant signage pays homage to Sin City’s past. Or, check out the Mob Museum for the largest collection of organized crime and law enforcement artifacts in the country, and learn about Mob events that helped shape the city. Other highlights include the 10,000-square-foot Pinball Hall of Fame museum, paying homage to the classic machine, and offering hands-on play for eager young visitors.
