New Kids’ Culture and Nature Programs

Led by the Resort’s highly-specialised guides, these hands-on, educational experiences offer a fun and engaging opportunity for the whole family to get outside and learn something new.

Culture Experience: “The Land and People Before Rancho Encantado”

Discover the heritage of the native people of northern New Mexico - learn about their culture and traditions, who they are, where they lived, and their storied history.

Begin in the on-site tipi to view maps and locations of the region’s different local tribes and pueblos. Then, take an easy, guided trek to explore the surrounding area, and along the way, hear tales of the native people’s origins, way of life and deep connection to the surrounding land and environment. See landmarks, pottery designs, ancient petroglyph representations, and native tools and objects that were used.

Return to the Resort’s classroom for hands-on activities such as yucca bracelet making and pottery painting.

Nature: “Connect with Nature - Flora and Fauna Discovery”

This experience includes a trail walk to explore nature and the indigenous flora and fauna in the Resort’s vast “backyard.”

Learn about the wildlife and search for animal tracks. Discover New Mexico’s diverse eco-systems, and uncover the native plants, trees and wildflowers in bloom. Plus, learn essential outdoor skills and how to prepare for a hike, as well as the unique high-desert climate and caring for the environment.

Remote School Experience: "The Classroom" at Four Seasons Rancho Encantado

Everyone’s spring break schedule is a bit different. For those who need to continue remote schooling while on vacation, the Resort’s classroom area offers a dedicated space, complete with all the essential school supplies and crafts needed, for parents to continue remote learning sessions for their kids.

Spa Time

After a full day of activity, escape to The Spa and unwind with a series of locally-inspired treatments, from massages, scrubs and body wraps to spiritual enhancement rituals designed to rejuvenate the mind and body. Or, opt to reserve a private spa courtyard, that guests can enjoy all to themselves, simply to relax in a hot tub, sauna or steam.

Weather permitting, families can also spend the day at the heated outdoor pool, swimming and lounging around the expansive pool deck while enjoying bites and refreshments.
