This festive season, discover everything that makes the London so special at this time of year. From elaborate decorations to ice-skating and festive markets, our local area provides something to keep guests of all ages entertained.

Raphael Lelaure, Head Concierge at Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square recommends:

Celebrate History at the Tower of London

Discover the iconic history of the Tower this Christmas through the animals that once lived within the walls. Spectacular displays of festive decorations and illuminated animal-themed areas will be featured across the fortress, from majestic elephants to a twinkling winter wonderland scene where polar bears roam and playful ravens’ nest.

Embrace the Festivities at London’s Christmas Markets

Throughout winter London is buzzing with an array of magical festive markets throughout the city, offering everything from warming spiced drinks to popular street food and unique souvenirs. Have a magical Christmas in Greenwich with fabulous festive lights, a festive market, and a special appearance from Santa at the Greenwich Market.

Skate into the New Year

An annual tradition, the ice rink in Somerset House's grand 18th-century courtyard is a festive institution. The 900 square metre (9,700 square foot) outdoor rink will be accompanied by the Fortnum's Lodge offering winter classics such as raclette, cheese fondue, smoked salmon and mince pies alongside champagne and mulled wine; and Skate Lates will feature top-notch DJs and music nights.

Discover Christmas at Leadenhall Market

Christmas returns to the City as Leadenhall Market gets lit up for the festive season. A six metre (20 foot) tree will take centre stage, with its lights set to be turned on in style by the Lord Mayor of London. Guests can enjoy the choir and a glass of mulled wine.

Shop Till You Drop

The Royal Exchange’s annual tree lighting ceremony kicks off the celebrations at this luxury shopping destination. Fortnum & Mason decorate the 7.6 metre (25 foot) tree with sparkling ornaments and local residents and visitors are invited to the ceremony, with hot chocolate, mulled wine and warm mince pies from Fortnum & Mason accompanied by carolling from the East London Chorus.
