National Margarita Day, February 22, has new meaning in Texas with a challenge for those looking to test their tolerance for all things spicy – the Hot Stuff Margarita at OUTLAW Taproom, the modern Texas saloon at Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas.

The peppery cocktail, an idea created by OUTLAW Taproom Bar Manager Grace Diamond, is made with custom Four Seasons-blended single barrel Avión Reposado tequila infused for one day with a Carolina reaper pepper, which is known as one of the hottest peppers in the world.  The rita is served on the rocks and mixed with a custom blend of lemon, lime and grapefruit citruses, ancho chile liqueur and agave.  Topped off with a chili lime salt rim, a garnish of peppers, torched grapefruit and lemon wheels, this drink is not for the faint-hearted.

“I wanted to connect my passion and love for tequila, as well as my desire to create inventive cocktails, through providing locals with one of Texas’ favourite cold drinks of choice with a fiery twist,” says Grace Diamond, Bar Manager at OUTLAW Taproom.

For those seeking the ultimate hot margarita, order the Hottest Stuff Margarita, available on the OUTLAW Taproom’s Secret Menu.  This five-alarm drink is the same; however, the Avión Reposado tequila is infused for three days with a Carolina reaper pepper and can be tasted only after signing a consent form.

Try the Hot Stuff Margarita on National Tequila Day at OUTLAW Taproom and enjoy live music from 5:00 to 8:00 pm sitting on the patio by the outdoor rustic fireplace.  The bar is open Monday–Friday from 3:00 pm to 1:00 am and Saturday–Sunday from 12:00 noon – 1:00 am.
