Born and raised in Chicago, Aileen Florian began her career in hospitality as an intern in Human Resources at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago while studying for her bachelor’s degree in hospitality management at DePaul University. After graduating in 2015, Florian joined Four Seasons Hotel Chicago full-time as the Human Resources Coordinator, where she helped manage recruitment and hiring. In 2016, Florian made the move out west to join Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village as Human Resources Manager leading recruitment strategy and maintaining employee standards and practices. Next, she moved on to another Los Angeles-based hotel, Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel as People and Culture Manager charged with ensuring employer compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, organizing themes and events for safety topics of the month, and helping design training courses for managers. Florian moved north in 2020 to Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero, and, as the Assistant Director of People and Culture, helped lead the Hotel through a successful rebranding, opening and renovation while working closely with the senior leadership team to define the Hotel’s goals and identify strategies to support them through talent and change management.

“When you encourage someone to express themselves, to follow their own passion, and their own way of thinking, you help them take a chance," says Florian. "To me that is Four Seasons; we aren’t looking for you to become a specific individual, we are simply looking at you and asking, how can we help you become the best version of yourself? That is why I fell in love with this industry and why I have been so loyal to the brand.”
