Atrium Bar at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze Presents Its New "Animal Kingdom" Cocktail Menu Featuring 15 New Cocktails

Atrium Bar at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze presents its new cocktail menu for 2020, enriched with works of art by the Argentine artist Carolina Correa and with an exclusive selection of new cocktails created by the bar team.

The new list, presented to guests in a handsome illustrated menu, is called Animal Kingdom, created with the aim of launching a message on environmental protection, and in particular on endangered species, representing the 27 percent of the world's known species. The Atrium Bar team produced 15 cocktails - 12 alcoholic and 3 non-alcoholic - inspired by endangered animals, accompanied by works of art painted exclusively by the Argentine artist Carolina Correa.

Head Mixologist Edoardo Sandri and Food and Beverage Outlets Manager Gabriele Fedeli, together with their team of experts, compiled the new list after long research on ingredients and innovative mixing techniques, with the aim of presenting to customers and Gotel guests not only great cocktails, but real experiences. Each cocktail has been inspired by an endangered animal, in taste, colours and presentation, and the menu itself is divided in three categories: Land, Sea and Sky. For example, the Polar Bear recalls the ice with vodka, Etna Bittesr, Angostura Bitters, tarragon, mango and liquid nitrogen; the Giant Parrot is energetic with Bitter Martini Special Reserve, St-Germain, Laphroaig (aged 10 years), burdock roots, cranberry and sweet paprika; those who prefer sweet, non-alcoholic flavours can try the Panda, with coconut yoghurt, Sichuan pepper syrup, seedlip and pineapple foam.

To give concrete help to the cause, the paintings will be on sale at the Atrium Bar, and the proceeds of the sales will be entirely donated to the Fondazione Acquario di Genova Onlus in favour of The Cetacean Sanctuary Research.

The cocktail menu will be available from mid-December 2019 through all of 2020. During the Christmas holidays more than ever the Atrium Bar becomes the ideal location to enjoy an aperitif with friends and family, surrounded by the festive atmosphere and unique installations of designer Vincenzo Dascanio.

The Atrium Bar is the perfect location for lunch, dinner, or the typical Italian aperitif, afternoon tea, desserts, coffee and cocktails, in a vast sun-lit and decorative space in Four Seasons Hotel Firenze. Atrium’s Bar Mixologist Edoardo Sandri, together with Food and Beverage Outlets Manager Gabriele Fedeli, Bar Manager Tommaso Ondeggia and all the team, are masters mixing both classic cocktails and developing concoctions with a flare as unique as Four Seasons Hotel Firenze itself, offering a selection of delicious and out-of-the ordinary drinks. In the evenings, live piano music creates a relaxed, informal atmosphere that extends outdoors onto the terrace during the balmy summer months.

Fondazione Acquario di Genova Onlus

The Fondazione Acquario di Genova Onlus was created in 2003 on the occasion of the tenth birthday of the Acquario di Genova and it is strictly linked to the mission of the facility, which has always been committed to raise awareness and educate the general public to preservation, management and responsible use of aquatic environments, through an in-depth knowledge of the animal species and their habitats. The aim of the Fondazione Acquario di Genova Onlus, a non-profit organisation, is to preserve and enhance the environment, with a particular reference to the preservation and correct management of aquatic environments. In order to reach such an objective, the Foundation develops activities of popularisation and education for the preservation and enhancement of the environment among the general public, awareness actions aimed at public and private institutions and authorities, applied scientific research, in particular with the cooperation of Genoa's University, by means of the relevant departments and other specialised institutes, and active safeguard operations of endangered aquatic ecosystems in different parts of the world.
