Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva has launched a range of exciting offerings to celebrate the upcoming festive season. The Hotel is located moments away from Geneva’s beautiful Old Town, a maze of winding cobbled streets and pretty squares filled with restaurants, boutiques and independent shops, making the Hotel the perfect base to enjoy a little Christmas shopping.

At this time of year, interiors exude a magical festive atmosphere, with snow-dusted firs, red bows and pine garlands merrily draping mantlepieces and banisters. As well as dressing the interiors with elaborate decorations, the Hotel has put together an expansive selection of Christmas offerings to spread seasonal cheer.

Family-Friendly Winter Activities

The Hotel’s Concierge Team can create bespoke itineraries that make the most of the surrounding mountains, with a range of activities suitable for all ages. Guests can discover a veritable winter wonderland where they can enjoy Nordic skiing and snowboarding, or experience dogsledding and snowshoeing. The Team can also organise day trips to Mont Blanc, lake and mountain hiking trips, cruises on Lake Geneva and fun ice-skating experiences. Children will love exploring Geneva Old Town, with its narrow streets and snow-dusted squares. At the Hotel’s Bar des Bergues, little ones can warm up with a velvety hot chocolate topped with marshmallows.

Christmas Spa Experiences

Spread out over the top two floors of the Hotel, Spa Mont Blanc offers a wonderfully warm and home-like festive ambience where guests can relax and unwind with pampering Christmas treatments. The Chardonnay Antioxidant Youth Ritual uses chardonnay grape seed extract, with a body scrub and wrap followed by a champagne massage designed to enhance the skin’s radiant beauty. The Spa offers personalised wellness experiences, with gift cards available for purchase to pamper loved ones in the season of giving.

Culinary Delights

Izumi

At rooftop restaurant Izumi, Executive Chef Toshikazu Kato has put together an exciting New Year’s Eve menu marrying Japanese and international flavours. The menu includes a selection of festive nigiris and a succulent wagyu Rossini served with foie gras, balsamic teriyaki sauce and black truffle. The restaurant offers a magical setting to ring in the New Year, when snowflakes gently fall on the city rooftops.

Chalet des Etoiles

Throughout the festive season, guests can indulge in a traditional fondue or raclette at the Chalet des Etoiles aux Bergues, a Christmas pop-up located on the Hotel’s panoramic rooftop. The Chalet exudes a cosy alpine atmosphere with furry rugs, wood panels and faux-fur cushions and throws. Twinkling lights, festive wreaths and vintage skis further add to the ambience, making the Chalet des Etoiles the perfect place for an intimate culinary experience with friends or loved ones. Since launching in 2021, the pop up has become the place to be in Geneva, its festive glamour and exciting culinary offering attracting local residents as well as international visitors.

Il Lago

At Il Lago, Michelin-starred chef Massimiliano Sena has put together a selection of decadent festive dishes to enjoy in the restaurant’s elegant dining room. The Christmas menu includes the likes of veal cheek, squash and Alba white truffle, while guests celebrating New Year can enjoy an indulgent feast with delectable dishes such as the chef’s signature blue Brittany lobster, with wine pairings by sommelier Salvatore Salerno.

Christmas Yule-Log Takeaway

Pastry Chef Jean-Marie Roger has created a wonderful Christmas Yule log for guests to enjoy in the comfort of their home. This year’s festive creation has a crunchy pecan nut praline, with notes of pear and subtle tones of caramel that will delight the taste buds of children and adults alike. Serving eight people, the Yule log is available for take away by prior reservation.

Il Panettone di Massimiliano Sena

Michelin-starred chef Massimiliano Sena has crafted two decadent flavours of panettone, Italy’s much-loved Christmas cake that is traditionally enjoyed over the festive season. Available in Dark Chocolate and Morello Cherry or Gianduja and Apricot, the chef’s 1 kilogram (2.2 pound) panettone cakes are available at Il Lago from November 15, 2022.
