Macall Newman’s Four Seasons journey began in 2011 in her very own hometown, when she joined Four Seasons Hotel Boston as a Front Desk Agent. Since then, her talent and dedication have put her on the fast track to growth. Macall was soon promoted to Hotel Assistant Manager, followed by a successful stint as Housekeeping Assistant Manager. She then decided to swap the East Coast for the West Coast, moving to Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles for a temporary task force assignment that later turned permanent. She continued her hospitality journey as Assistant Director of Housekeeping, taking less than a year to earn her next promotion to Director of Housekeeping, before moving on to become Front Office Manager.

Macall’s skilled team leadership, creative guest service initiatives, and strong relationships with business partners eventually made her the ideal choice for Assistant Director of Rooms. After spending a year in this role in Los Angeles, during which she helped the hotel maintain its Forbes Five-Star status, Macall joined Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui as Director of Rooms and Residences. “I am inspired to be the ‘best me’ everyday by the colleagues I spend my days with,” she remarks about her career journey.

No stranger to new cultures and exotic locations, Macall majored in African-American Studies and Spanish Language and Literature during her years at Fordham University, besides studying in Ghana and Spain. During her travels, she developed a deep love for mountain-climbing: she has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, hiked up Machu Picchu, and reached the Annapurna base camp in the Himalayas. Needless to say, Macall is equally spontaneous when it comes to her studies, work and hobbies!

Trading in the flip-flops for camouflage, Macall’s stint as Camp Manager at Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle is sure to further fuel her interests in hiking and mountain-climbing. For someone who is quick to adapt and embrace new cultures, the Northern Thailand experience enhances her Thailand tenure in just the right way. “I truly feel it is the perfect location to combine the drive for adventure, cultural immersion, relaxation, and unparalleled settings. My love for my Four Seasons career has been powered by the teams and guests I meet along the way. I have loved each step in this career, and I have no doubt the Tented Camp will continue to challenge and teach me.”
