Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Hoi An Named Global Wellness Resort of the Year 2018
The Heart of the Earth Spa scoops top award at SpaChina Awards 2018
Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Hoi An has received wellbeing recognition at the 9th Annual SpaChina Awards 2018 with The Heart of the Earth Spa being named Global Wellness Resort of the Year during the awards’ glittering gala dinner in Sanya, Hainan.
Hosted by Spa China Magazine in conjunction with its SpaChina Summit, The SpaChina Awards reward industry leaders and innovators during a three-day interactive event that includes panels and workshops. With categories ranging from Spa and Treatment to Concept and Product awards, winners are determined via rigorous site visits and WeChat voting.
The Heart of the Earth Spa Manager Dwi Susanti comments: “We are delighted to have been given this award. We believe wholeheartedly in what we offer and to receive recognition like this just further ignites our passion to share our spa concept and experience with the world.”
Inspired by Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, The Heart of the Earth Spa is a place of support, compassion and acceptance. Crystal singing bowls tuned to the frequency of nature, and treatments that recall the Earth’s lessons of stability, creativity and non-judgement, remind us of our innate capacity to beat as one with the heart of the earth.
The Spa’s six gorgeous double and two serene single spa villas – each featuring an overwater relaxation pavilion and crystal singing bowls – "float" atop a lotus-filled lagoon. Signature experiences include the 150-minute Nam Hai Earth Song Ritual and nightly Goodnight Kiss To The Earth ceremony: a complimentary experience that involves guests floating Vietnamese wishing candles on the lagoon.
Establishing itself as one of the region’s leading centres of mindfulness and connection, The Heart of the Earth Spa is gearing itself up for a unique event this October. The Present: A Mindfulness Retreat (October 1-5, 2018) will offer guests a unique opportunity to join a mindfulness retreat inspired by the teachings of the world’s most renowned Zen Master.
In partnership with the brothers and sisters of Hue's Từ Hiếu Pagoda – the root pagoda of Thich Nhat Hanh – participants will experience Sitting, Walking, and Eating Meditations, Dharma Talks and Sharing Sessions, plus cleansing vegetarian wellness meals, Stability Yoga and spa treatments; all designed to develop one’s connection to the self, the universe, and the power of the present moment: the most important moment of all.
“It’s not about indoctrinating individuals in any particular religious ways but about teaching non-denominational ways to bring a greater present to everything we do, say, think, eat and enjoy,” says Susanti. “Too many of us these days are disconnected from ourselves, the world, and those around us; if we can encourage even one person to embrace the power and potential of every moment and change the quality of their life, it will have been worth it.”
