Nam "Hai-Lights" for a New Year at Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Hoi An
January is a time to take stock and look forward: to dream and to plan. With this in mind,
General Manager Anthony Gill comments: “In an often-divided world, we want to make 2018 all about connection. Travel fosters incredible connections: with your travel companions, the people you meet along the way, and through moments of personal meaning. Our new experiences this year will all strengthen these ideas, from AntiGravity yoga to purchasing your own set of crystal singing bowls and locally-inspired dining events. It’s going to be a great year at The Nam Hai.”
The Heart of the Earth Spa
What’s new for 2018? Springtime guests will get a sneak peek at the new Thanh Tinh Yoga Pavilion. Meaning "peaceful," the new serenity structure will host, among other things, new AntiGravity yoga classes: dynamic "flying" yoga that encourages a deeper, more flexible connection to the self.
Spa Manager Dwi Susanti is also shining a spotlight this year on four restorative treatments that connect guests to their true, rejuvenated self. Dissolve tension with a Grounding Hot Stone treatment; reduce inflammation with a Rejuvenating Age-Reversing therapy; regulate hormones with a Calming Adreno Scrub & Wrap; and banish stress with a two-hour Nam Hai Earth Song ritual.
Take Wellness Home
Enter The Heart of the Earth Spa reception and the first thing one will see is the beautiful 90-centimetre (three foot) tall clear half-hollow Glass Buddha Statue: a gorgeous, graceful expression of oneness and liberation that reflects the philosophy of non-judgement – one of The Heart of the Earth Spa’s central tenets.
Following much interest in this special piece, the Spa is delighted to offer a very limited number of hand-carved replicas for purchase. Modelled on the original, each bespoke crystal and epoxy sculpture is the ultimate wellbeing gift for a daily dose of connection and calm. Priced at USD 7,500.
For centuries spiritual traditions have incorporated the power of sounds into their sacred practices. Celebrating this key element of The Heart of the Earth Spa, guests can now purchase their own crystal singing bowls to continue the connection to the Earth’s heartbeat upon their return home.
Choose from Classic bowls (pure crystal quartz) and Alchemy bowls (quartz, gems and minerals), each tuned to 432 hertz (the harmonic intonation of nature). Each comes with a carry case, suede wand and manual. Guests can also take lessons with the Xpa’s skilled therapists. Prices from USD 500.
2018’s Four Weekly Dining Events
The Nam Hai’s weekly dining celebrations connect guests to the region’s rich culinary traditions: Mondays are dedicated to the Nha Trang region’s sweet delicate lobsters; Tuesdays transport diners to the bygone magnificence of the Cham Dynasty via an authentic Champa family-style meal; Thursdays revolve around local lau viet (hot pot) – an interactive “cook-it-yourself” table feast steeped in centuries of tradition; while Saturdays come to life with lanterns, live cooking stalls and local performers at the vibrant Waterfront Street Food night.
