Four Seasons Resort Hualālai, a legacy resort on Hawaii’s Big Island for nearly three decades, has announced a new collection of in-suite culinary services exclusive to the Resort’s Villa and Specialty Suite guests. The first and only AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Five-Star Resort on Hawaii Island, Four Seasons Resort Hualālai boasts the largest, and most luxurious standalone villa product in all of Hawaii with its Hawaii Loa Presidential Villa, Makaloa Villa and Ho`onanea Villa, which are now further bolstered with a new elevated, in-room experience menu of varied and immersive culinary adventures.

The new offerings are available to Villa and Specialty Suite guests, inviting guests to experience a gourmet, chef-crafted culinary immersion from the comfort of these upscale, residential accommodations. Guests can choose between four Culinary Masters at the Resort, each specializing in a different cuisine from farm-to-table and omakase to gourmet Italian and authentic Hawaiian BBQ. The in-villa chef experience allows guests to curate a one-of-a-kind menu created to match individual guests’ palates. The culinary menu is also complemented by a collection of in-villa décor and tabletop displays for a full immersive experience. The experience is available for up to ten guests and begins at USD 5000 plus an additional USD 500 per person inclusive of a four-course meal and one signature cocktail per person. Hualalai Culinary Masters options included below.

  • Richard Polhemus, Executive Chef - Farm-to-Table and Nose-To-Tail Experiences
  • Kalani Garcia, Executive Pastry Chef - Hawaiian BBQ and Artisan Baked Goods
  • Giuliano Leverone, Beach Tree Chef de Cuisine - Authentic Italian
  • Nuri Piccio, Sushi Chef - Omakase and Japanese-Inspired Cuisines

Alternatively, guests may also select from three separate, experiential culinary packages offered in-suite. Beginning at USD 475 per person, guests may select from the following menus.

  • A Taste of Beach Tree: A guided four-course tasting of Beach Tree’s authentic Italian favourites. The menu spans appetizers, hand-cut pastas, shareable entrees and desserts.
  • Sushi Making: A live demonstration and preparation of a menu of locally-sourced sashimi, nigiri and maki that showcases the bounty of the surrounding ocean, complemented by traditional Hawaiian snacks.
  • Suite Steaks: Open-flame cooking of various beef cuts from Hualālai Grille enjoyed family-style with accompanying sides and desserts. The steak experience is only available to villas with outdoor grills.

Villa and Specialty Suite guests also have the option to pre-select from a menu of catered meals to be enjoyed privately from their rooms throughout their stay. This option can support all mealtimes and be coordinated through the VIP concierge ahead of check-in or while on-property. For guests looking for a more interactive culinary experience, cooking classes with Resort chefs are available in-suite and can be customized to highlight specific dishes or techniques.

Private wine tastings or mixology classes are also offered in-suite for Specialty Suite and Villa guests. The Resort’s team of sommeliers and mixologists can add a wine pairing, wine tasting or mixology to any of the aforementioned culinary experiences. Showcasing hand-selected wines to fit the guests’ personal tastes and local ingredients and rums for cocktails, the selection of beverage options compliments the already extensive in-suite programming.

These new culinary experiences join an already impressive selection of in-villa pursuits. The Resort debuted a whole wellness menu last year that included select treatments from the Hualālai Spa such as the Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage, a traditional technique passed down from generations and the Sweet Dreams massage, an immersive sound bath, body and sensory treatment proven to promote a good night’s rest. For more vigorous activities, guests can also enjoy in-suite strength training, yoga classes, cycling and more.

The Resort has long been a beacon for upscale hospitality, and through these new experiences and market-leading villa product that legacy lives on. Originally debuted in 2021, the three Villas have consistently served as the top stand-alone room product and as the most luxurious way to stay on the Big Island. Coupled with a menu of exclusive experiences, Villa guests also receive enduring perks such as round-trip airport transfer, unpacking/packing services and a daily Resort credit to be used on food and beverage or on-site activities such as Alaka’i Nalu ocean adventures or private time in the recently debuted Hualālai Golf Hale - alongside a dedicated concierge team to plan out the entire stay.
