From Sales Manager in 2018 to Director of Sales in 2020, Imbi Sarv has rapidly risen through the ranks at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, one of the most vibrant urban resorts in Southeast Asia. Known for her capable leadership and administrative savvy, she brings to the table nearly 20 years of international sales experience, coupled with a genuine passion for hospitality.

What’s the secret behind her high-achieving sales pitch? “Beyond the rooms and facilities, what we at Four Seasons offer are memorable experiences. I love to travel and meet people from around the world to learn about new cultures – I believe these experiences enrich life. I also love to conceptualise and pull off flawless events. So, my job is pretty much a perfect fit for me,” she says with a smile. With a boundless enthusiasm for getting off the beaten path and tracking down hidden gems, Imbi opens doors to little-known facets of the destination for her guests. In her current role at the Hotel, she is achieving all the milestones with the team and making it the number one sales team in APAC, if not in the world.

Imbi started out as a sales and marketing coordinator for Reval Hotels in her homeland, Estonia, where her strong performance earned her a promotion to the management team. Since then, her career has taken her halfway around the world, from Europe to the Middle East to Southeast Asia. At Gulf Hotel Bahrain, she led a 15-person sales team to consistently exceed goals and boost market performance, along with founding an independent group to promote Bahrain as a destination and make it one of the top performers in the region for Worldhotels properties. Most recently, she served as director of convention and incentive sales for two Shangri-La properties in Beijing, China, where she confirmed the biggest MICE group in the history of the hotel.

While honing her professional skills, Imbi also made “friends for life” and gained rich cultural insights along the way, which she looks forward to passing on to her young son. When she’s not at work, she loves to spend time with friends and organise gatherings, “especially surprise parties!” Known for her contagious smile and positive attitude, Imbi has a straightforward motto for work as well as life: “Every challenge is good for something and helps you to grow, so enjoy every moment and be passionate in what you do every day.”
