As the creative visionary force behind the special events team at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Kellie Ng Yen Ping knows a thing, or two, about party planning. With more than 18 years of experience as an event specialist, Kellie is regarded as one of the top events specialists in Malaysia. Her portfolio ranges from planning high-profile celebrations for celebrities, Prime Ministers and United States Presidents, to unforgettable weddings and intimate elopements. She is a maestro at executing high-end special events and catering to an equally high-profile clientele.
Kellie’s flawless attention to detail and ability to bring her discerning clients’ visions to life has set the new standard for events in Kuala Lumpur and most notably at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur. “For me, it’s about bringing a vision to life and orchestrating a truly unforgettable celebration – whether for 800 guests or an intimate celebration of two, for all to enjoy,” notes Kellie. “I look forward to showcasing the latest trends in music, décor and culinary, anchored by the sophistication and elegance of Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur – it’s truly a new era of event planning.”
A native of Malaysia, Kellie has spent her career honing her sales and special events skills at the finest hotels in the city. She credits her hospitality background as key to her creativity, innovation and forward-thinking approach. As the Director of Catering and Conference Services, Kellie is responsible in overseeing all special events – of the 209-room hotel. The Hotel features 19,016 square feet (1,821 square metres) of flexible event space, all of which is uniquely located on the same floor. “The Hotel’s elegant design, matched by the abundance of talent – from chefs to mixologists and spa practitioners - makes for endless opportunities to truly customise an event and create transformative occasions unlike anything experienced before,” Kellie adds.
Kellie joins Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur most recently from the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur, where she held the coveted position of director of events management, overseeing all events operations throughout the hotel. Prior to the Shangri-La, Kellie served as assistant director of sales at Genting Malaysia Berhad, supervising the sales team.
