Four Seasons Resorts Lanai Receives Virtuoso “Celebrating Culture Award” for Luminaries, Legends and Leaders

Virtuoso, the leading global network specializing in luxury and experiential travel recognized Four Seasons Resort Lanai and Sensei Lāna'i, A Four Seasons Resort with the Celebrating Culture Award.  The Luminaries, Legends and Leaders awards were presented at the culmination of the 2022 Travel Week, a sold-out gala attracting some of the biggest names in luxury travel.

The Celebrating Culture Award award celebrates Virtuoso member agencies/advisors and partners who have been a driving force in transforming and impacting others in their local community, the travel industry, and/or the world around them through the expansion of knowledge, beliefs, arts, customs or capabilities. 

A panel comprising the network’s Global Member Advisory Board and preferred partners reviewed submissions covering five categories including Culture, with agency members reviewing the partner submissions, and the partners reviewing the member submissions.

The Resort’s on-site Love Lāna'i Cultural Advisors, along with a Hawaiian Cultural Practitioner and Historian, are integral to this mission and to creating activities that bring the island’s unique spirit and historical legacy to guests. One of the newest offerings is the on-site Lāna'i Observatory, where guests hear voyaging traditions and wayfinding methods of Pacific ancestors before viewing stunning celestial objects through a state-of-the-art telescope.
