Tyson Rinaldi, Food and Beverage Supervisor at Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis, has hospitality in his DNA. His parents met while working in the industry, and he spent much of his youth in restaurants. “I learned at a young age about food and service quality,” says Tyson. “I realized that leaving a positive mark comes down to the smallest details, like your choice of words or the quality of the knife. Grasping all the small details that curate a memorable experience is something I’m passionate about.”

The Minnesota native grew up south of the Twin Cities, and with his eye on the industry, he pursued a degree in Hospitality Administration and Management at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Post-graduation, Tyson jumped into the restaurant world, building his career through serving and supervisory positions with top local chefs. But when he heard about the new Four Seasons, he set his sights on a new goal. “I love the Twin Cities, but I’m here because of the quality of hospitality at Four Seasons,” he says. “Working for Gavin Kaysen is a dream come true. I got to sit down with him as a freshman in college when a mutual friend connected us, and I learned so much. Years later, hearing about the partnership between Gavin and Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis felt like a dream opportunity.”

As a leader, Tyson is as committed to the guest experience as he is to creating a positive workplace for his team. “Success is a matter of showing respect for your teammates, finding ways you can collaborate and go above and beyond for one another,” he says. “I’m always thinking about how to show respect for front-line workers.” Additionally, Tyson believes in empowering his team to use their skills to create a memorable guest experience. “Your title or position doesn’t limit your capabilities,” he says. “You can always learn more and make a lasting impression on someone.”

In his off-hours, Tyson - a former wrestler - loves to work out. He also immerses himself in all things food-related by reading, listening to chef podcasts, watching Chef’s Table and exploring the local restaurant scene. “It’s been great to see the growth of the hospitality industry in Minnesota,” he says.

Additionally, Tyson volunteers and is involved with Hospitality, Sales and Marketing International and the Curtis Lemair Legacy Foundation, which is named for his dear friend, and raises money for research in sudden cardiac arrest.
