The Best of the Best represent the highest standard in their given category with only five nominees considered in each. José Silva, Regional Vice President and General Manager has been awarded the Best of the Best Hotelier of the Year 2016.

Silva was honoured to receive this prestigious award, which recognises his passion for designing the future of the hotel industry, as well as seeking innovative and unique experiences for Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris guests. Over the past two years, he has used his unique abilities to assemble a number of exceptional talents such as Chefs Christian Le Squer and David Bizet, who join Artistic Director Jeff Leatham on the team.

Silva comments: “It’s all about surprising with innovation and impressing with execution. I believe my job is to enable these artists do what they do best, to assist them in reaching the next level. The essence of a general manager is to inspire the team and to successfully manage change. I could not be more proud of the work that we as a team have accomplished together over the past two years with opening two new restaurants, Le George and L’Orangerie, offering two distinctive culinary experiences as well as receiving our third Michelin star for Le Cinq. We have also reinvented our public areas and renovated our Hotel’s finest suites like private Parisian apartments. Four Seasons Hotel George V has begun a new chapter of its history, with more to come.”
