This Thanksgiving, celebrate at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North with a bountiful brunch at Talavera or a casual dinner at Proof, An American Canteen. This year, the Resort also will be offering pre-ordered pies for pickup.

Thanksgiving Brunch Buffet

Talavera will offer a Thanksgiving Day brunch buffet on Thursday, November 28, 2019 with reservations available from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm.  Enjoy a bountiful dinner buffet featuring all the Thanksgiving dinner favourites: cider-brined roasted natural turkey with gravy, roasted winter squash soup, cranberry orange relish, traditional sourdough stuffing and cornbread stuffing, brown sugar and ginger glazed sweet potatoes with bourbon marshmallow.

In addition, the buffet will offer a raw seafood bar, carving station with slow roasted prime rib of beef; pistachio and orange crusted hot smoked salmon; fall squash ravioli with duck confit cooked to order; cheeses and charcuterie; a selection of autumn salads; and all the delicious side dishes and trimmings.  Dessert options will range from bourbon pecan pie to vanilla bean crème brulée and traditional pumpkin pie with cinnamon whipped cream. The pastry team also will present pumpkin spiced churros with dulce de leche and white chocolate sauce at its live action station.

A special children’s buffet will feature a variety of kid-friendly items. Talavera’s Thanksgiving Day brunch buffet is USD 125 per adult, and USD 48 for children ages 5 to 12. Reservations are required. Talavera will not serve an a la carte menu on Thanksgiving Day.

Thanksgiving Dinner at Proof, An American Canteen

Proof, An American Canteen will serve a three-course dinner on Thanksgiving Day. Available from 4:00 to 9:30 pm, the menu will include roasted winter squash soup; and a choice of hard-cider brined smoked turkey with cranberry relish and turkey gravy or porchetta pork roast with a grainy mustard brown ale jus. Both entrees will be served with roasted apple and sausage stuffing, brown sugar glazed sweet potatoes, and roastedbBrussels sprouts.  Dessert options will be the winning pies from Proof’s American Pie Fights competition (and traditional pumpkin pie, too).  The three-course menu is USD 65 per person. An a la carte menu also will be available. Reservations are encouraged.

Proof Canteen’s Pies for Pickup

For those who wish to treat their Thanksgiving guests (or hosts) to a delicious dessert or two, Executive Pastry Chef Lance Whipple and his team are ready to lend a hand.  Proof, An American Canteen will be offering a selection of pies for pick-up on November 27 and November 28, 2019 (Thanksgiving Day).  Picking up the pies is easy, deciding which to choose is not so simple. The menu will offer apple rhubarb pie, pumpkin pie, bourbon pecan pie and French chocolate silk pie. Each pie is USD 25. A side of whipped cream or salted caramel sauce is available for USD 9 each and a quart of any flavour of Proof’s house-spun ice cream is USD 12 each.
