Commemorate Earth Day with Take-Home Terrarium Activity in Proof at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North

Celebrate Earth Day with a Tequila & Terrarium class at Proof, an American Canteen, offered on Saturday, April 22, 2023 only at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North. Learn how to create a custom terrarium, sip on signature tequila cocktails and take in sweeping views of the high Sonoran Desert and Pinnacle Peak.

The Tequila & Terrarium class takes place at 12:00 noon on the lower patio of Proof. A professional floral designer will walk the group through a one-hour class focused on creating the perfect terrarium, which class participants will get to take home. Additionally, participants will enjoy cocktails by Astral Tequila, with Mixologist Enrique Larios on hand to share more about the nuances of Astral Tequila. Astral Tequila is a leader in community involvement, recycling the agave fibres used to make the tequila to create adobe bricks to build homes in communities of need in Mexico. The cost for the class, including paired tequila cocktails, is USD 65 per person.

Proof also will feature a three-course Earth Day menu created by Proof Sous Chef Edgar Flores in conjunction with Executive Pastry Chef Yudith Bustos. Start with a tequila and citrus baby beet salad, with endives, goat cheese, toasted pistachio and agave blueberry vinaigrette for USD 21. The main course special will be a cedar-plank smoked sustainable salmon, with agave-rosemary glaze, baked yam, spring vegetable salad and smoky agave-lime vinaigrette for USD 39. For dessert, “Earth, Wind & Fire” brings together macerated strawberry, cookie streusel, manjari chocolate crémeux, pavlova and cherry “smoke” for USD 17.

While on property, book a relaxing treatment in The Spa. Many treatments on the menu feature desert botanicals, including the Nopal Massage incorporating the application of warm cactus gel delivered using cactus paddles placed directly on the skin. Other signature treatments include the Turquoise Sage Renewal and the Jojoba and Prickly Pear Body Polish. Plentiful opportunities to connect with the surrounding Sonoran Desert include onsite hiking, landscaping tours, and outdoor yoga and fitness classes.
