London at Ten Trinity Square

This December, Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square will celebrate the festive season with the launch of bespoke Yuletide offerings, to be enjoyed within the grand Grade-II-listed hotel in the City of London. La Dame de Pic London and Rotunda Bar and Lounge have each curated a selection of special menus to be enjoyed with loved ones from Christmas through to the new year.

La Dame de Pic London

At two-Michelin star La Dame de Pic London, the world’s most decorated female chef Anne-Sophie Pic has designed elaborate Christmas menus to mark the most decadent days of the year, featuring her much feted signature plates. Dishes include foie gras terrine poached in beeswax, with korarima and yuzu; poulette de la cour d'armoise, delicately seasoned with melilot and tonka accompanied with an artichoke and dill tartelette to be shared. For dessert, guests can enjoy the Bûche de Noël, a French Christmas classic, reinvented every year by the restaurant’s pastry team. This year, the Yule log is flavoured with Tahitian vanilla mousse, pink grapefruit and Damascus rose. Guests can also opt for two additional dishes of Scottish langoustine cooked on Japanese barbecue with lapsang souchong, mint and sorrel; and chausson aux truffes, Chef’s grandfather André Pic's favourite of delicate pastry parcels filled with seasonal black truffles, complemented with a saffron and amaretto sabayon.

New Year’s Eve will also offer curated menus for those who want to welcome in 2023 with gourmet panache. Featuring the venison pithiviers flavoured with bergamot and juniper, enhanced with black truffle and the wild seabass and caviar, a 1971 signature from the chef’s father Jacques Pic, combining the seabass with Daurenki caviar and Champagne foam. For the New Year’s Eve grand finale, the Yorkshire rhubarb will be infused with oolong tea and white miso.

Rotunda Bar and Lounge

The Rotunda Bar and Lounge will be decorated for the occasion, making it the perfect place to enjoy a festive afternoon tea. The menu features afternoon tea classics such as finger sandwiches, including minted cucumber with cream cheese; smoked salmon with dill, parsley, tarragon and capers; and for a twist on tradition, coronation turkey. This is followed by imaginative interpretations of Christmas-themed patisserie for the second service including The Reindeer, which crafts the festive favourite from sweet pear marmalade, sharp lime zest chantilly and peanut biscuit for a Christmas crunch; The Snowman, a vanilla rice pudding with coconut cinnamon mousse, finished with a striking red cranberry hat; and The Bauble, a chestnut mousse with a golden mandarin and saffron glaze, all served on a Santa’s Sleigh that has been delicately handcrafted from chocolate. Inspired by his Burgundy origins and the traditional French dessert nonnettes, Executive Pastry Chef Sylvain Goujon has created an edible candle centrepiece crafted from French gingerbread and encased in dark chocolate for a sweet surprise. Of course, tea would not be complete without scones fresh out of the oven, ready to be topped with seasonal jams, lemon curd and Devonshire clotted cream. Perfect for a children’s Christmas treat, tea will be served every Friday to Sunday from November 4, 2022 to January 8, 2023, from GBP 65 per guest, with the option to splash out with a glass of house Champagne.

On Christmas Day, guests can also indulge in a five-course menu under the Rotunda Lounge’s iconic art deco domed roof. Available for GBP 125 per person, the Christmas menu includes confit of wild salmon with poached radish, pickled beetroot and smoked crystal prawns; as well as a playful sweetcorn martini with warm ham hock and sweet corn salad, enveloped in salted puff pastry. A vegetarian menu is also available, featuring a main course composed of rich rolls of roasted pumpkin and baby spinach rotollo with crisp sage and caper butter; and culminating in a baked Alaska with a light black forest sponge and dark cherry sorbet.

Mei Ume

The Hotel’s resident Chinese and Japanese restaurant Mei Ume will also be available for bookings during the festive period. Showcasing two of the greatest Asian cuisines under one roof, the dishes on offer are a wonderful alternative to traditional Christmas fayre. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, guests can order from the a la carte menu with signatures dishes that include stir-fired native lobster, hot stone wagyu beef and a whole Peking duck served over two courses.
