Melissa Hart Voted Four Seasons Top Mixologist (Americas)
Meet Melissa Hart, d|bar's very own bartending aficionado. With 13 years of experience, Melissa is well versed in the hospitality industry and has found her true passion behind the bar. Blending her culinary background with her love for bartending, she creates unique craft cocktails with an emphasis on quality and seasonality.
Melissa was voted by her peers to represent Toronto and compete at the 2018 Four Seasons Top Mixologist Competition of the Americas with her cocktail creation, Rikyu's Harmony. An ode to Japan’s culture of contrasts, her cocktail touches on both tradition and reinvention. The base of traditional sake pairs beautifully with well-balanced Japanese whisky, lemon and lime juice, and an infused shiso and goji berry syrup. To garnish the drink, shiso leaves and a matcha green tea foam was used to tie the flavours together.
Competing among the best of the best, Melissa came out on top. The entire Four Seasons Hotel Toronto team was so impressed to hear that Melissa was crowned as the first ever Four Seasons Top Americas Mixologist. Want to try Melissa's award-winning cocktail?
