As Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, Richard Poskanzer achieved tremendous success, including opening several new dining experiences such as The Tasting Room and gourmet coffee shop Stir. However, Richard's proudest achievement is the building of the strong team of professionals in his division. Now as Hotel Manager, Richard brings that same passion Hotel wide, and as a respected Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village veteran, the transition to Hotel Manager is merely just a title change.
A graduate from Cornell University in 2002 with a degree in Hotel Administration, Richard joined Four Seasons in Philadelphia in 2003 as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager. During his time there, he assisted with the transition of Four Seasons Resort Lanai in 2005 and then went on to Four Seasons Resort Aviara as Food and Beverage Manager. In 2010, Rich was promoted to Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons in Palo Alto and then again in 2012 in Santa Fe as Director of Food and Beverage. Richard joined Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village in the same role in 2014 and is a tremendous asset to the team with now more than 15 years of experience with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
Richard grew up working in restaurants in his hometown of Albany, New York, and remembers being called by the kitchen at a young age. “When I started working as a cook and making pizzas at my first restaurant job, I felt pride in creating something that brought others joy.” From this simple beginning, his passion grew. More than 20 years later, he still takes pride in creating memorable experiences for guests.
