Born in raised in Paris, Alexandre Guilhen Puylagarde was exposed to world-class hospitality from the beginning. In fact, it’s one of these Parisian experiences that put him on the path of hospitality, which has eventually led him to Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora.

During a culinary experience at the three Michelin starred restaurant L'Arpège, Alexandre saw the details beyond the food. What he describes as a “concerto of magnificence that still today motivates me to create beautiful experiences and memories for our guests” reflects the dedication of hospitality coworkers to genuinely give themselves to pleasure and be at the service of their guest. This became the vibrating sense of luxury for Alexandre – losing himself in the service of other people's happiness.

After graduating from the National Merchant Navy School in LeHave, France, Alexandre began his career with food and beverage stints in Switzerland and Korea as he earned his hospitality degree from the esteemed Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne. From there, he took on management roles with Hilton and Novotel in China and Malaysia, respectively, before joining Kempinski Hotels in China, Djibouti, and Hungary in food and beverage management roles. After an assignment with Maslina Resort, in Hvar, Croatia as deputy general manager, Alexandre rejoined Kempinski as executive assistant manager of Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea, in Jordan. He moved to French Polynesia in early 2024 as he began his role as Resort Manager of Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora.

“Between experiencing and learning cultures from around the world, making lifelong friends in all corners, and experiencing life in amazing places, my journey in hospitality has been such a fulfilling part of my life. I am thrilled that this journey has brought me to magical French Polynesia, where I ensure our guests are completely pampered as they create lifelong memories here on our private island paradise.”

Alexandre speaks English and French, and is the consummate sportsman, enjoying paragliding skiing, golf, rugby, football, tennis, and all watersports. He and his wife Dijana enjoy travel and dining.
