Born and raised in Saint-Etienne, France, Amanta Malarde has always had an eye toward social and philanthropic issues. While she developed an early passion for cooking, which led her to pursue an education in the culinary field in her native France, she would eventually find herself on a paradisiacal island where she could make a significant impact on an array of environmental, social, and governance issues.

Following her culinary education in France, Amanta began her career in gastronomy at three Michelin-starred restaurants, and then later as sous chef de cuisine in numerous hotels and restaurants in France and Québec, before transitioning to island life in St. Barts. She followed her calling to Bora Bora in 2017 and joined Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora as cuisine sous chef. After a brief stint at InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa, she returned to Four Seasons as an administrative assistant, where she became an active member of the Resort’s Green Team.

It is here that she discovered her new passion, leading her to her appointment as Purpose and Sustainability Champion in 2022. In this role, she leads the Resort’s Green Team, oversees sustainability standards, educates and trains employees, develops community outreach, and more.

Amanta speaks English and French. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, sewing, and mostly spending time with her husband and young son.
