Four Seasons Resort Lanai is All About Ohana

With flights from Honolulu to Lanai included for a seamless spring break

February 13, 2024,
Hawaii, Lanai, U.S.A.

In Hawaiian, the word ohana means family but it’s so much more, celebrating connections and a feeling of community. This holiday time, cherish time with loved ones at Four Seasons Resort Lanai and have fun getting everyone together for an island escape. And round-trip flights on Lanai Air are included for the family with arrivals taking place by December 31, 2024.*

The island offers an array of land and sea activities for all ages, many managed by Four Seasons.  Kids can gamify their adventures with the new Ohana Explorer program, where they can collect activities on a passport and receive fun prizes upon completing their quests.

Family explorers can participate in a selection of experiences, from ziplining and snorkelling to golf and tennis.  Play pickleball with the family, take a lesson or join a junior tennis club session at the Tennis Garden.  At the Lanai Ranch, enjoy horseback or pony rides or a carriage ride around Lanai City.  At sea, a three-hour snorkel sail provides a look at colourful fish in pristine waters, with lunch.  Or, learn about Pacific voyaging in a Kilo Hoku experience at the Lanai Observatory.  For an adrenaline rush, visit the Lanai Adventure Park for ziplining, e-bikes or aerial adventures, with a tower for little ones as well. Once complete, the children can visit Kids For All Seasons and discover treasures.

Complimentary offerings include lei making with the Resort’s Love Lanai Cultural Advisors, hitting a few balls on the Manele Golf range, feeding koi fish, or a Rancher Experience where families can meet the mini horses and mini goats at the stables.

Ohana Suites

With layouts designed for the whole family, the Resort’s one-bedroom Ohana Suites offer spacious accommodations as well as special perks and amenities  All Ohana Suites include a sofa bed in the living room, an oversized Japanese soaking tub, and a furnished lanai with gorgeous views.  For even more space, most suites can connect to an additional guest room – creating a two-bedroom suite with a third bathroom.

Suite benefits include complimentary arrival and departure transfers, welcome arrival and departure gifts and an in-suite floral arrangement. In addition, a dedicated Lanai Experience Planner is ready to help plan the perfect escape with pre-arrival restaurant reservations, island activity bookings, spa and wellness appointments, tee times on the Championship Jack Nicklaus Manele Golf Course and more. While on-property, a Lanai Ambassador is available for personalized service throughout the entire stay.

Kids For All Seasons

The complimentary Kids For All Seasons offers a range of organized indoor and outdoor activities for keiki  (children)  aged 5 to 12, from 9:00 am through 5:00 pm, with advance registration. Activities include board games, puzzles, and sports such as Aloha Basketball and corn hole. Arts and crafts time is popular as keiki explore their creative selves, designing their own fish and creating noisemakers to cheer each other on during games.

Cultural activities are designed to encourage keiki to learn about the traditions on Lanai - lei making, a Hawaiian word of the day and storytelling. They can also engage with the natural surroundings – a “talk story” hike to Puupehe (Sweetheart Rock), exploring the tide pools of Hulopoe Bay, finding unique art pieces around the Resort during a scavenger hunt, walking the Botanical Gardens in search of lizards and tropical flowers, or learning to build a sand volcano on the beach.

Families with young ones will find helpful amenities on hand including cribs, bottle warmers, highchairs, pack ‘n plays, diaper genies, strollers and more.
