In preparation for the June 1, 2011 opening, in-house floral expert and Artistic Director Jeff Leatham is preparing a special surprise. Imagine a “purple rain” of vanda orchids, cascading down from the first floor, floating above as one sips cocktails or enjoys fresh summer fruits. This unique “rain curtain” will be another of Leatham’s one-of-a-kind creations.
The Marble Courtyard is an intimate space, with elegant garden furniture and magnificent flowers in a stylish and peaceful summer retreat. It’s the perfect stop after a shopping spree, and is a relaxed and casual atmosphere for a business lunch.
Open for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, the Marble Courtyard offers a summer menu created by Chef Eric Briffard. Fresh selections include frozen tomato gazpacho, filet of St. Pierre fried with lemongrass, plus salads and sandwiches, including the famous George V Lobster Club.
This summer will also introduce the Pimm’s cocktail, a refreshing and very British drink of sweet alcohol and lemonade flavoured with fresh cut fruits including strawberries, blood oranges and lemons, plus cucumbers. Homemade pastries are also offered to enjoy the cocktail hour in a lounge area ideal for meeting friends.
Open daily from 12:30 to 10:30 pm, subject to weather conditions. Reservations recommended.
