June 20, 2023,
Santa Fe, U.S.A.

The whimsical wonderland of Santa Fe is morphing into a stunning summer sanctuary as Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado, a luxury boutique resort surrounded by rugged mountainous beauty and the city’s premier destination for adventurous escapades, debuts new exclusive experiences for lavish getaways.

The City Different, revered for its magnetic mix of cultural marvels, sweeping landscapes, artistic splendour and culinary gems, is an enchanting summer escape for all travellers. Situated on 57 rolling acres (23 hectares) in the Sangre de Cristo foothills, Four Seasons Resort Santa Fe is home to the city’s only onsite Adventure Center, a full-service spa and signature restaurant Terra, making it ideal for solo sojourns, romantic retreats and family fun with room rates starting at USD 850 per night.

New this summer, the Resort is offering travel experiences focused on:

Solo Travel

Solo travellers seeking to explore natural wonders can embark on the Georgia O’Keeffe Country and Ghost Ranch tour with the Adventure Center to visit the magical landscapes shaped and defined by extraordinary geologic forces. Inspired by the legendary artist Georgia O’Keeffe, whose own solo adventures through the desert made her a cultural icon, the exclusive tour begins with a stop in her winter home of Abiquiu before driving through the cliffs of the Valley of Shining Stone that were forever immortalized in her paintings. Guests will see the mystical stone turrets of Plaza Blanca, a striking scenery of towering hoodoos, and glimpse O’Keeffe’s beloved Cerro Pedernal, which she famously painted nearly 30 times, before concluding the tour at the artist’s summer home of Ghost Ranch. The extensive Ghost Ranch visit is completely customized to each individual and can include hiking, horseback riding and seeing the fossil remains of the prehistoric resident dinosaur, Coelophysis, that once roamed the landscape.

To unwind after a day of exploring New Mexico’s famed landmarks, The Spa offers new Solo Sound Bath Meditation Sessions to awaken the chakras and energy channels of the body through an immersive meditative journey guided by the yoga of sound. The private sessions can also be experienced on the Monte Vista Terrace, Santa Fe’s most picturesque place to take in the valley’s vistas and stunning sunsets.

Couples Getaways

For couples looking for a dreamy desert getaway in Santa Fe, voted one of the country’s most romantic cities, the Adventure Center’s new Plaza Blanca and Taos Wine Tasting tour starts with breakfast and Mimosas at Terra before journeying to Plaza Blanca. With special access to hike and explore the private land, the excursion also includes a romantic picnic lunch backdropped by the white sandstones. Then, couples venture to Taos – home to some of the oldest vineyards in the state. Oenophiles will visit unique wineries for a personal tour and wine tasting. Upon returning to the Resort, guests are greeted at The Spa with champagne and chocolates in a private courtyard complete with hot tub and sauna access.

Enhancing The Spa experience is the Ultimate Romance Spa Retreat for Two, which offers a series of indulgent treatments enveloped in an ambiance of serenity. Couples are treated to a 60-minute chocolate truffle body wrap treatment followed by an 80-minute head-to-toe massage, an infusion of a hair and scalp treatment combined with an exfoliating foot scrub and massage, both expertly tailored to ease tension and foster a sense of deep connection. Couples are then pampered during a 60-minute relaxation session together in a private spa courtyard with a hot tub and sauna while enjoying Whispering Angel rosé and chocolate-covered strawberries.

Family Travel

Santa Fe is also a wonderland for family-friendly adventures with the city’s storied past offering a vibrant playground for exploration. The Ancient to Present tour with the Adventure Center begins with a drive through ancient lands of Pueblo Indians onto the majestic Pajarito Plateau to the nearby Bandelier National Monument. At Bandelier, families step back in time to visit a unique 14th century pueblo located deep in Frijoles Canyon, walk aside crystal-clear creek waters to see the ancient Pueblo village and kivas, climb ladders into prehistoric caves and search for captivating petroglyphs.

At The Spa, Kids Yoga offers young yogis energizing sessions to learn mindful movement and playful poses in a fun-filled atmosphere. Little hearts and minds embark on an adventure of self-discovery and physical well-being through carefully crafted classes. Mommy & Me Manicures/Pedicures provide parents and kids with prime bonding and shared self-care during a side-by-side manicure and/or pedicure. Family Sound Bath Meditation Sessions are also available with the private sessions allowing families to connect in a transformative and meditative experience that promotes a state of relaxation.

Cuisine

At Terra, the private Chef’s Garden Table experience is returning for the season and includes a five-course tasting menu by Executive Chef Andrew Fox. The intimate dinner is available for two to six guests for the ultimate New Mexican culinary experience. Cocktail connoisseurs can also participate in the new Build Your Own Margarita mixology classes at Terra Bar.

Arts and Culture

Summer in Santa Fe is complete with the return of the world-renowned Santa Fe Opera, which runs June 30 through August 26, 2023 with five operatic masterpieces, including Tosca, The Flying Dutchman and Orfeo. Four Seasons Resort Santa Fe is setting the stage for a transcendent season with its Sweet Sounds of Summer package. Before the curtain rises, operagoers are treated to a three-course dinner at Terra and roundtrip transportation to the opera house along with daily breakfast for two.

Considered one of the best cities for solo travel, a charming escape for a couples retreat and with boundless options for family-friendly adventures, Santa Fe is the idyllic summer getaway and offers myriad events this summer: Santa Fe Wine Festival (July 1 and 2), Santa Fe International Folk Art Market (July 6-9), Traditional Spanish Market (July 28-30) and Santa Fe Indian Market (August 19 and 20).

Poolside Fun and More

Additionally, poolside pampering is available with private cabana rentals that include amenities, snacks, beverages and a bottle of The Beach rosé by Whispering Angel. Situated near the pool area is the Fun Zone with lawn games ranging from cornhole and foosball to ping-pong and Giant Jenga. The Pool Shack, the pool bar, is debuting a Grey Goose bar cart this summer with New Mexican-style paletas and an array of amenities, including frozen grapes and frozen mocktails.

At Four Seasons Resort Santa Fe, all guests have access to complimentary offerings that include morning group hikes, yoga classes, mixology and cooking demonstrations, s’mores by the firepit, and a shuttle to and from downtown’s Santa Fe Plaza to get immersed in The City Different.
