Marin Leuthard, a native of Zug, Switzerland, joins Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh with a wealth of experience gained from his extensive career in the culinary world. Leuthard's journey with Four Seasons begins in 2023, marking a new chapter in his remarkable epicurean adventure.

His passion for cooking was ignited by his grandmother's traditional talent in the kitchen. Leaving school at 15 to pursue a career at a popular local dining venue, Leuthard's career has seen him contribute his talents to various prestigious establishments, including luxury hotels and resorts in Hong Kong, Macau, Incheon and Delhi, to name a few. His international exposure and diverse experiences have shaped his culinary philosophy and leadership style.

In his role as Executive Chef, he oversees one of the largest food and beverage operations in the Four Seasons global portfolio with 12 authentic restaurant and bar experiences set along the Red Sea, as well as banqueting services covering nearly 5,000 square metres (54,000 square feet) of event space on his plate. “I have led several multi-venue operations throughout my career, but nothing to this degree. We are taking on the challenges together with the goal that our guests feel the love that we have for what we create,” says Marin Leuthard.

Known for being down-to-earth, hardworking, and passionate for developing the skills of his team, Leuthard emphasizes the importance of teamwork in achieving success. With more than 110 chefs on the Resort's culinary team, “my role is to lend support and make sure that my team has everything they need to develop their own recipes.”

His role involves collaborating with the chef de cuisine of each restaurant, ensuring that menus feature authentic staples while keeping up with culinary trends. He is keen on elevating culinary skills as the Resort’s international selection of dining experiences - from Mediterranean seafood at Bullona and upscale street food at Yatai to traditional Lebanese at Zitouni – demands a lot of technique. His commitment to guest satisfaction is evident in his love for interacting with diners and guests who occupy the Resort’s signature suites. He believes in curating unique and memorable experiences that showcase the rich culinary heritage of the region, such as the traditional Bedouin Breakfast on the beachfront.

Out of his professional life, Marin values time with his wife and beautiful daughter, who are eagerly anticipating their new adventure in Sharm El Sheikh. He also enjoys travelling and exploring new places, engaging with different cultures, and loves road cycling.
