From a young age, it was clear that Loay Ali’s passion for cooking was innate. At 16, he helped in his father’s modest restaurant after school and experimented with recipes with his mother. He expanded his culinary knowledge by watching cooking shows and learning through hands-on experience. “My parents gave me the inspiration and encouragement to pursue this career that has brought me to where I am today. I owe everything to them,” he reflects.
Throughout his journey, Chef Loay has worked alongside many professional chefs within Four Seasons, gaining invaluable experience and refining his craft. With more than 25 years in luxury 5-star hotels, the majority of his career has been dedicated to Four Seasons Hotel Amman.
Chef Loay’s expertise spans classic and contemporary Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, European, American, and Asian cuisines, along with fine dining, banqueting, and large-scale catering. He is committed to sustainable food practices, zero-waste principles, and consistently delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Chef Loay is loved by his peers in Amman and is recognized for his leadership, mentorship, and ability to develop and inspire young culinary talent. Therefore, he was promoted from Executive Sous Chef to Executive Chef in 2025.
Outside the kitchen, Chef Loay enjoys travelling, exploring new recipes, and learning about different cultures. He spends quality time with his wife and three children—Mayar, Layan, and Ghazal. Two things to know about Chef Loay is that his favourite cuisine is Thai, and he is a dedicated supporter of Manchester United.
