A Rendezvous with Duckyo: Four Seasons Hotel Beijing Launches Duckyo Handcrafted Mousse Cakes and Themed Afternoon Tea
Taste the fun and savour the joy
Always cheerful and reckless, and sometimes sophisticated and laid back, Duckyo never fails to intrigue people relating to themselves from its funny expressions and lovable ingenuous personality. A new type of joy emerges, when the elegant, sumptuous Four Seasons Hotel Beijing encounters the much-loved adorable Duckyo. The Hotel has joined hands with the city’s celeb Duckyo and launched Duckyo handcrafted mousse cakes and themed afternoon tea in an effort to refresh guests’ inner child and discover a uniquely joyful lifestyle.
By taking inspirations from fresh seasonal fruits and integrating assorted fruit flavours into mousse cakes featuring tiny air bubbles and a dense, moist, soft, and delicate texture, chefs at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing have brought to life the chubby, cheerful, reckless, and optimistic Duckyo with its signature round eyes. The four exquisitely handcrafted Duckyo mousse cakes capture the animated characteristics of four versions of Duckyo that are afro, envious, shy, and fortunate. They are BaoZhaTou Duckyo (“Afro Duckyo” — passion fruit coconut mousse cake), Lemon Duckyo (“Envious Duckyo” — lemon cheese mousse cake), JuZiTou Duckyo (“Shy Duckyo” — mandarin yuzu vanilla mousse cake), and ZhaoCai Duckyo (“Fortune Duckyo” — raspberry white chocolate mousse cake).
The four selected Duckyo mousse cakes are made possible by the team of chefs who have creatively applied vivid colours and paid great attention to every little detail, revealing the bittersweet moments in life, allowing guests to relate to the sentiments that follow, and bringing them back to a carefree childhood, all via the expressive and hilarious image of Duckyo while savouring the cakes.
In addition to the four Duckyo mousse cakes, the themed afternoon tea also includes four savouries featuring ham and cheese mini croissants sandwich; French duck confit, bamboo charcoal bread with apricot jam; smoked salmon sandwich with dill cream cheese; and duck liver, raspberry jam, Italy pearl vinaigrette. There are four more dainty desserts ranging from opera cake to lemon tart, and raspberry napoleon, tiramisu, to scone (plain, raisin, chocolate) with clotted cream and strawberry jam, all served with a selection of coffee or tea.
The Duckyo themed afternoon tea will be available at Opus Lounge of Four Seasons Hotel Beijing at CNY 388 per person per set and CNY 588 for two persons per set from July 28 to October 31, 2022. Prices are subject to a 15 percent service charge.
