Zhao Xinyu as the new Executive Chef at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing. In this prestigious role, Chef Zhao helms the culinary operations of the Hotel's renowned dining establishments, including the one Michelin star Chinese restaurant Cai Yi Xuan, the Michelin-selected Italian restaurant Mio, the Opus Lounge, and the Hotel’s banquet catering services.
“Each chef brings a unique creative flair, and every detail can be a source of inspiration,” Chef Zhao remarks. “I am convinced that boundless creativity will elevate us to greater heights.” With an enduring passion for culinary arts and a clear vision for his career, Chef Zhao has held pivotal roles since joining Four Seasons Hotel Beijing in 2013, including Banquet Chef and Deputy Executive Chef. His comprehensive understanding of kitchen operations and deep appreciation for teamwork and collaboration enable him to manage diverse challenges while maintaining a steadfast commitment to excellence.
Throughout his tenure, Chef Zhao has been instrumental in menu innovation, chef training, and team management. He has played a key role in organizing high-profile events, including the inaugural Michelin awards ceremony in Beijing and various distinguished banquets. Amid the pandemic, he adeptly revised menu offerings and service strategies, leading his team in a special service for the UAE Winter Olympic delegation, ensuring uncompromising food safety and quality, and significantly enhancing the Hotel's reputation and image. Outside of his professional duties, he actively participates in culinary competitions, having clinched the Star Chef Award and the top prize at the Global Gourmet Chef par Excellence Culinary Competition hosted by Global Gourmet Magazine.
Over more than a decade, his personal development alongside the growth of the Hotel has culminated in his camaraderie with team members. Chef Zhao has an acute understanding of guests' needs and preferences, working closely with the Food and Beverage Department to design personalized dining experiences for guests. Additionally, he is adept at uncovering team potential, motivating staff to pursue creativity, and leading the culinary team to attain high efficiency and collaboration.
With his sights on the future, Zhao Xinyu is leveraging his culinary artistry and leadership to chart new and exciting courses for Four Seasons Hotel Beijing, showcasing its unique culinary charm and cultural heritage.
