Four Seasons Hotel Boston Rings in 40 Years of Excellence

Boston’s most decorated luxury hotel honours its milestone birthday with Swan Boat rides and “40 Acts of Kindness” campaign

Four Seasons Hotel Boston, the city’s most awarded luxury hotel, celebrates its 40th birthday this June, marking four decades of leadership in innovation, service, and community connection.

As part of the festivities, Four Seasons Hotel Boston invites neighbours, guests and visitors alike to celebrate together. On the morning of Sunday, June 15, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, children will enjoy complimentary Swan Boat rides courtesy of the hotel. This special partnership with one of the city’s most beloved institutions highlights the hotel’s deep connection to the Boston Public Garden and the neighbourhood it calls home. Guests attending the event will be welcomed by a decorative Four Seasons cart near the Swan Boats dock where they will receive commemorative postcards and treats. In another celebratory gesture, one departing hotel guest on June 15 will be surprised with a special room rate of USD 140, a throwback to the hotel’s original starting rate in 1985.

As the hotel celebrates four decades of excellence, it is also embracing a vision that looks ahead and extends its leadership into the community. In honour of the special year, the team at Four Seasons Hotel Boston launched "40 Acts of Kindness," a year-long initiative championed by the Four Seasons for Good employee committee that gives back to the Boston community. Initiatives include a children’s book drive, fundraising and service activities benefiting The Women’s Lunch Place, internal sustainability programs including Black Earth Composting, Meatless Mondays and Earth Hour activations, and participation in beloved city traditions such as the Massachusetts General Hospital 5K Run-Walk and Pancake Breakfast, a charitable event that the hotel has supported for more than 30 years through its affiliation with the Terry Fox Foundation.
