March 12, 2025,
Budapest, Hungary

KOLLÁZS Brasserie & Bar at Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest hosts an exclusive showcase of internationally acclaimed David Szauder’s Folkloric Robots presented in collaboration with LUMAS Budapest.

More than just an exhibition, this showcase brings together the worlds of fine art, digital innovation, and culinary excellence in a setting that blends timeless elegance with contemporary creativity. Guests can immerse themselves in Szauder’s digital artworks while enjoying the signature hospitality and culinary craftsmanship of the Michelin-recommended KOLLÁZS Brasserie & Bar.

This stunning series is brought to life through the lens of celebrated photographer David Ajkai, whose masterful artistry perfectly complements Szauder’s vision. Ajkai’s photographs capture the essence of the Folkloric Robots, highlighting their intricate details.

David Szauder’s group of works, Folkloric Robots, is a profound reflection on the interplay of tradition and innovation. From the title to the motif, his work creates a symphony of contrasts that is as striking as it is harmonious. By subtly breaking with viewer expectations, Szauder raises questions about the relationship between man and technology, artificiality and authenticity, life and creation. Szauder’s vision for the Folkloric Robots was born in Barcelona, where he was inspired by the city's unique interaction of history and modernity. The works feature traditional costumes woven with meticulous detail, symbolizing the importance of cultural heritage in an increasingly modern world.

Through his innovative use of artificial intelligence and modern image-editing programs, Szauder brings to life the tension between past and future, tradition and progress, technology and craftsmanship, and science.

This special exhibition also features works by Marta Contreras Simó, an artist who, like Szauder, explores the boundary between photography and digital technology. Her AI-driven artistic expressions, inspired by fashion and contemporary aesthetics, complement the theme of the showcase, adding another layer to the dialogue between human creativity and artificial intelligence.
