A Journey Through Flavour

Born in a small village in Chiang Rai, Chef Tor's passion for cooking began early. “I still remember my first dish,” he says with a chuckle. “A green curry that had ... potential! But from that moment, I knew food was my way of connecting with my roots.” Today, the Resort’s Thai Chef Instructor shares his passion for Thai cuisine at the Rim Tai Kitchen Cooking Academy, where guests can savour the flavours of dishes such as Khao Soi Gai - Northern Thai Curry Soup with Chicken. “The secret,” he confides with a twinkle in his eye, “is in the Khao Soi chilli paste, a recipe I learned after two years of exploring! But I’ve perfected it just for you.”

Complementing his vibrant approach is Chef Alvin Dela Cruz, Executive Chef at Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai, whose vision has brought the cooking school to life. While Chef Tor charms with humour, Chef Alvin sees his kitchen as a concert hall, where every dish is a performance meant to evoke emotion. With more than a decade of experience and a degree from Le Cordon Bleu, Chef Alvin's culinary expertise ensures that every cooking class is a celebration of Thai culture, connection, and creativity.
