Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai Awarded Three Michelin Keys for the Third Consecutive Year
Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai has once again been awarded Three Michelin Keys, marking the third consecutive year the Resort has received the Michelin Guide’s highest hotel distinction.
One of only six hotels in Thailand to receive Three Michelin Keys in 2026, and the only hotel in Chiang Mai to hold the distinction, the recognition celebrates an experience shaped by a remarkable sense of place, thoughtful experiences and the genuine care of the people who bring the Resort to life.
Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai is set among emerald rice fields and mountains in the Mae Rim Valley, inviting guests to experience Northern Thailand through its people, traditions and landscape. Lanna culture, wellbeing, cuisine and thoughtful experiences offer different ways to connect with the destination, while the warmth of Thai hospitality makes each stay feel personal.
A Deeper Connection to Place
From mornings overlooking the rice fields to encounters with Northern Thai craft and cuisine, the Resort creates opportunities to experience Chiang Mai through the traditions, people and landscape that shape life here. Guests might learn a local craft, spend time in the gardens, gather around the table or simply enjoy the changing light over the rice fields.
“We are deeply honoured to receive Three Michelin Keys for the third consecutive year,” says Ivan Giles, General Manager, Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai and Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle. “This recognition belongs to our team, whose care and attention bring the Resort to life every day. Our guests come to Chiang Mai to discover something new, connect with the people and traditions of this remarkable place, and spend meaningful time with those they love. To have that recognised for a third year is something we are incredibly proud of.”
Across the Resort, days are shaped by the landscape and by the freedom to experience it in different ways. Early mornings bring birdsong and views across the rice fields, while afternoons might be spent discovering a craft, exploring the gardens or lingering over a meal.
Rather than following a conventional checklist, guests are invited to discover Chiang Mai through experiences that bring them closer to its culture and traditions. Villas and pavilions set within the landscape offer privacy and generous space, while open-air settings maintain a natural connection to the Mae Rim Valley.
A Taste of Northern Thailand
The Resort’s connection to Northern Thailand continues around the table. At KHAO by Four Seasons, Thai cuisine takes centre stage, celebrating regional flavours and culinary traditions. At NORTH by Four Seasons, fire-led cooking takes inspiration from local produce, fresh seafood and premium cuts in a countryside setting, while Rim Tai Kitchen invites guests into Thai culinary culture through hands-on cooking experiences.
Seasonality and local sourcing remain central to the Resort’s culinary approach. Ingredients from the Resort’s gardens and relationships with regional producers allow the chefs to let the character of each ingredient lead the dish, while bringing the flavours of Northern Thailand naturally to the table.
Wellbeing Rooted in Lanna Traditions
Wellbeing at Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai extends naturally beyond the Spa, with movement, time in nature and restorative experiences woven throughout the stay.
At Wara Cheewa Spa, Northern Thai healing traditions meet contemporary wellbeing through personalised treatments designed to restore a sense of balance. The Kularb Lanna Ritual brings together dried rose petals, jasmine rice and honey in a rose-scented exfoliation, followed by a soothing massage with locally crafted shea-butter candles.
Yoga, meditation and sound healing offer further ways to find renewal, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Mae Rim Valley.
A Place for Life’s Celebrations
From proposals beneath a century-old banyan tree to candlelit dinners beside the lotus pond, Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai creates personal settings for life’s meaningful occasions. Private Residences and Pool Villas offer generous space for families and friends to come together for honeymoons, anniversaries, weddings, birthdays and reunions across generations.
Thoughtful details, private dining experiences and the care of the Resort team allow each celebration to feel distinctly personal, whether shared between two people or across generations of a family.
The 2026 Three Michelin Keys recognition builds on the Resort’s first Three-Key distinction in 2024 and its retention of the honour in 2025. The Michelin Guide describes Three Keys as its highest hotel distinction, recognising an extraordinary stay.
For Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai, receiving Three Michelin Keys for a third consecutive year is a recognition of something that has remained constant: a deep connection to place, brought to life through the warmth, craft and genuine care of its people.
