Certified Sommelier and Specialist of Spirits Adam Caparelli Chase brings innovative cocktail creations and expertise to Adorn Bar

Adorn Bar, located in Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, has named Adam Caparelli Chase the new Lead Bartender. Adam is a distinguished Certified Sommelier and Certified Specialist of Spirits with a deep-rooted passion for crafting exceptional beverage experiences.

"I'm honoured to join Four Seasons as Lead Bartender for Adorn and to introduce a cocktail menu that embodies my interpretation of variations on a theme," says Chase. "These cocktails are all about balance, where bold flavours and distinct aromas are carefully layered to create a harmonious blend, best appreciated when savoured together."

Adam’s career advanced as bar manager at Corvino Supper Club and Tasting Room in Kansas City, an AAA Four Diamond restaurant led by James Beard finalist Michael Corvino. In 2020, he joined Exit Strategy in Kansas City as the opening bar manager for Verdigris Bar, bringing his vision to life. His role expanded to director of training for Exit Strategy’s three bars in 2021.

In 2022, Adam moved to The Monarch Bar in Kansas City’s Plaza neighbourhood as bar director. In 2023, he relocated to Chicago, becoming the bar manager at The Aviary & The Office, part of the renowned Alinea Group. Today, Adam is the Lead Bartender at Adorn Bar & Restaurant, located at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, focusing on creating memorable moments for guests through innovative cocktails.

Adam’s expertise has not gone unnoticed, earning him accolades such as regional finalist for the 2017 Woodford Reserve Manhattan competition, national semi-finalist for the Heaven Hill Bartender of the Year competition in 2019 and 2020, national finalist for the 2023 Tales of the Cocktail Foundation’s Patron Perfectionist competition, and recognition as one of the world’s top 15 in the 2024 Hayman’s Original Gin competition.

Beyond his professional achievements, Adam is a leader who believes in empowering his team with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed, while always prioritising exceptional guest experiences.
