Stewarding Excellence: Four Seasons Hotel Chicago Highlights 35 Years of Craft Devotion from Dimas Perez

This month, Four Seasons Hotel Chicago continues to celebrate the 1989 Luxury Legends, spotlighting Dimas Perez, an integral part of the Steward team. Dimas and his wide array of hospitality experience, kind heart, resourcefulness and ongoing commitment to excellence have helped to propel the Hotel’s success since it opened its doors 35 years ago.

Dimas began his career in hospitality in Chicago working as a nighttime steward. When Four Seasons Chicago opened, Dimas sought the opportunity to interview for a position as a part-time cleaner. After witnessing his devotion to excelling in his work and his endless display of kindness and positivity, Dimas was promoted to a full-time member of the Stewarding team. Dimas continued to steer towards greatness in his role, earning the honour of not one, but two Employee of the Year awards over his time with the company.

As a family man, Dimas found motivation from his five children and his grandchild, citing them as a driving force for all his hard work. Outside of his family, he also credits his Four Seasons team for his success and shared that he often “looks to them for the support and motivation” after 35 years with the Hotel.

When reflecting on this incredible milestone and what makes Four Seasons Hotel Chicago special to him, Dimas praises the Hotel, sharing “It’s a great company that takes care of their employees.” Dimas further expanded on the Hotel’s heart as he reminisced over the honour of meeting Four Seasons Founder Isadore Sharp, acknowledging his genuine warmth and goodwill.
