Bar Margot at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta Puts the Curiosity Back into Cocktails and On the Menu

Bar Margot, the hip yet relaxed Midtown lounge at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta, announces a new speakeasy-style cocktail series called The Missing Digit. Rotating every two weeks beginning on December 15, 2017 Bar Margot will release an off-menu specialty cocktail that focuses on fresh, seasonal ingredients or holiday themes.

The Missing Digit cocktail program is an ode to the character Margot Tenenbaum in the critically-acclaimed film The Royal Tenenbaums who Bar Margot is also named for. Margot loses her finger at age 14 when travels to find her biological family at their Indiana family farm. As she sets up a hickory trunk for her father to chop, he inadvertently takes the axe to her finger instead. Rather than dwelling on this as a tragic event, Margot dons a quirky wooden finger that simply adds to her unconventional charm.

Bar Margot’s skilled bartenders take inspiration from Tenenbaum’s eccentric and offbeat personality to create inventive and original cocktails for the program.

“The Missing Digit is a great way for our beverage team to play around with new ideas and keep things fun and fresh for our customers,” says Bar Margot General Manager Augusto Francisco. “A huge part of the charm at Bar Margot is the character we inject in every aspect of the bar, and this is just another way for us to keep patrons involved in the ever-changing menu options.”

Every two weeks as the specialty cocktail changes, Bar Margot will release a social media post with the details of the cocktail so followers get a virtual taste of the speakeasy-style beverage.

The Missing Digit’s debut cocktail is a gin and creme de menthe-based drink called the Orna”mint,” USD 14.
