An enchanting evening where culture, cuisine, and community float along the Chao Phraya River

Bangkok, Thailand

As the full moon rises over the Chao Phraya River, Loy Krathong, Thailand’s beloved Festival of Lights, transforms the water into a shimmering sea of flickering candles and fragrant blossoms. On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River invites guests to celebrate this timeless tradition with an evening of riverside beauty, culinary artistry, and heartfelt Thai hospitality.

At the heart of the celebration, the Infinity Courtyard will come alive with the gentle glow of floating Krathongs, handcrafted floral offerings symbolising gratitude and new beginnings. Guests are invited to release their own Krathongs upon the water, each carrying wishes of peace and prosperity beneath the moonlit sky.

A Feast by the River

At the heart of the evening, Chao Phraya Terrace, the Hotel’sThai  farm-to-table charcoal grill, offers an intimate, family-style dining experience from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, that celebrates the rich tapestry of Thai flavours crafted from locally sourced ingredients. This sharing-style menu created by Chef “Pod” Jessada Khruapunt and his team includes highlights such as Surat Thani blue swimmer crab with young coconut and gremolata; Khao Yai organic chicken; and Grilled Chiang Rai baby pineapple.

Each table offers a panoramic view of Chao Phraya river, where the aroma of the charcoal-grilled dishes mingles with the breeze of the river, while the soft glow of candlelight reflects on the water.

“Chao Phraya Terrace captures the essence of Loy Krathong with an evening of Thai culture, community, and culinary delight by the river. We invite our guests to not just dine, but to experience the festival as it comes alive, right at their table,” says Lubosh Barta, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River.

Live Music, Dance, and Fireworks

The evening’s entertainment brings Thai culture vividly to life, with the rhythmic beat of ceremonial drums, graceful traditional dances, and the sparkle of riverside fireworks illuminating the Chao Phraya River. Lively folk performances and live music invite all to join the celebration, while a photo booth at the Infinity Courtyard captures the night’s most memorable moments and offers guests a printed keepsake of an evening where light, laughter, and Thai tradition come together by the river.

A Festival for Young Hearts

The Kids For All Seasons program invites young guests to an evening of Thai culture, creativity, and fun. Inspired by Loy Krathong, children are invited to craft, explore, and celebrate through playful yet meaningful activities. Wrapping up the events, children will be guided through a Krathong floating that lets them take part in this beloved Thai tradition, making memories that will glow long after the lanterns fade.
