Curated by CUR8: Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru Celebrates Local Artists in a New Rotating Exhibition

There is no denying that beyond its filter coffee runs, dosa sprees, and morning walks through the verdant Cubbon Park, Bengaluru’s vibrant and youthful spirit comes to life through art. Whether telling stories of 80s nostalgia or capturing the city’s evolving underbelly, artistic experimentation has always been at the heart of this town. Weaving this creative essence into its latest offering, Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru is unveiling a dynamic art gallery at CUR8, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant.

Through this initiative, the luxury major seeks to showcase India’s diverse artistic landscape and contemporary creative expressions by rotating exhibitions every fifteen days. A masterstroke in celebrating the city’s ever-evolving art scene, the gallery is set to launch on January 16, 2025, in its first-ever collaboration, Atlas In Ink by artist Tanay Kumar and Asia Art House.

“The Four Seasons experience is deeply rooted in celebrating the local culture into every facet of its offerings. By creating a platform for inspiring, thought-provoking art and fostering collaborations with exceptional local artists throughout India, we invite our guests to not only engage with the art but to connect with the city in its purest form. This interaction goes beyond mere appreciation; it cultivates a deep connection that nurtures understanding and a shared spirit of kindness,” says Biswajit Chakraborty, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru.

Founded in 2006, Asia Art House is renowned for partnering with luxury hotels to curate immersive art experiences that captivate the imagination. The artist in focus for the inaugural showcase at Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru is Tanay Kumar, an architect and visual communication master’s degree holder, who turned his fascination with three-dimensional spaces into a passion for painting four years ago.

Kumar’s award-winning watercolour paintings and intricate paper sketches, which can be described as impressionistic in nature, invite attendees to journey not only through space but through his intimate, personal perspective of the world - whether through the chaotic streets of Mumbai or the charming lanes of Europe.

At its core, this initiative aims to cultivate a space where local artists, collectors, and art aficionados can come together in a single, inclusive environment. Central to its focus is the Four Seasons belief in the transformative power of art to inspire connection, kindness and celebrate shared stories.
