Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora and Photographer Sadry Ghacir Release Artistic Collaboration, Tamari’i
Polynesian culture and tradition captured in staff portraits
Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora introduces an artistic collaboration with local photographer Sadry Ghacir, entitled Tamari’i.
Meaning “child” in Tahitian, Tamari’i is a digital photo book in which guests are invited to discover the heart and soul of Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora through a unique collection of staff portraits. Ghacir captured striking portraits of 32 employees, with each sharing their unique story, rich cultural heritage, and profound connection to this breath-taking corner of the world.
The Resort has made complimentary high-resolution versions of these portraits available for download, allowing guests and fans of the Resort to enjoy and share these images at home, furthering awareness of Polynesia’s beautiful traditions and culture.
"Each portrait encapsulates the warmth of their smiles, the depth of their traditions, and the mana, the spiritual energy that defines this paradise,” says Romain Chanet, General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora. “This book is a tribute to the people who bring this Resort to life, and a testament to the bonds that connect us all in this island paradise.”
Continuing to build on its rich tradition, the Resort launched its Hiroa Tumu Cultural Program in 2023, offering guests an array of cultural experiences. Addditionally, Parataito, meaning “paradise” in Tahitian, was released as the official anthem of the Resort. This moving music video, filmed by Ghacir, features music, lyrics, and choreography created by Resort staff, and beautifully shares the warmth of Polynesian hospitality, kindness, and generosity.
