Sea Fu at Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach Unveils Breath of Japan: A Cultural Evening of Taste and Tradition

Taking place on November 1, 2025 (1.11), a date that holds spiritual resonance and is often associated with renewal, alignment, and positive energy, Sea Fu invites guests to celebrate Breath of Japan, an evening where culture, sustainability, and soulful connection intertwine. Located at Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, and set against the serene backdrop of the sea, the occasion reflects harmony between people, nature, and artistry, creating a truly meaningful experience.
Guests will be immersed in a rich cultural journey, featuring a live Koto performance, where the delicate sounds of the traditional Japanese string instrument will drift across the shoreline. In graceful synchrony, Sea Fu’s team will honour each guest with a personalised tea ceremony, presenting intricately handcrafted coasters made from recycled kimonos. This thoughtful gesture not only celebrates the beauty of Japanese craftsmanship but also reflects Sea Fu’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, breathing new life into fabrics that once carried their own stories. To deepen the sense of immersion, guests are warmly invited to don a yukata for the duration of the evening, embracing tradition in both spirit and form.
This year’s edition will feature a textile art showcase by Elena Sukhoveeva, the artist behind Ikasu—a brand that transforms antique and vintage Japanese kimonos into contemporary mixed-media works. Framed in pre-loved wood and celebrated at international art fairs, her pieces reflect a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship and sustainable reinvention. Installed in Sea Fu’s Tori corridor, her works will be on display, and the artist will be present to meet guests and share the stories behind each creation.
A Japanese DJ set will bring a contemporary rhythm to the evening, blending seamlessly with the tranquil seaside setting. Guests will also have the opportunity to admire an elegant display of kimonos and yukatas, adding an element of timeless tradition, with participation encouraged during dinner.
The culinary journey will be equally captivating, with a specially curated four-course tasting menu, designed by Chef Marcel Finsterer in collaboration with Japan’s Mie Prefecture. The menu showcases refined craftsmanship and regional flavours, where guests will begin with Hamaguri Clam Tempura with roasted green tea tentsuyu and fresh wasabi, followed by a sushi selection featuring the finest seasonal fish from Mie. The main course presents Japanese A4 Wagyu with potato terrine, nabana, and sansho pepper jus, while the Kaki Fuku dessert offers a delicate balance of persimmon, soft gyuhi mochi, sweet bean paste, and arare crisp, a perfect finale to an evening of time, taste, and artistry. Tea pairings and Asahi beer further complement the sensory experience, reflecting Sea Fu’s dedication to delivering sophisticated dining experiences that echoes the evening’s message of unity and renewal. As the waves meet the rhythm of the music and the energy 1.11 unfolds, Sea Fu’s Breath of Japan evening promises a night of reflection, connection, and celebration, where every detail carries intention and meaning.
