Dubai may be best known for its skyline and coastline, but drive beyond the city and the landscape changes quickly. This winter, Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach invites guests to discover this lesser-seen side of the UAE with a new privately guided Hatta Tour, turning a day away from the city into a journey through two very different landscapes.

Travelling by private luxury vehicle with a dedicated guide, guests leave Dubai behind for Hatta, around 90 minutes from the city. The journey leads into the mountains, where Hatta Heritage Village offers a window into the area’s past before the landscape opens onto Hatta Dam, its turquoise water framed by the surrounding peaks.

Those who want to experience the landscape from the water can add kayaking or other activities at the dam, while others can simply take in the mountain views. With cooler temperatures bringing Hatta’s outdoor season back to life, the area offers a different perspective on winter in Dubai: one shaped by open air, dramatic terrain and a slower rhythm.

From the mountains, the journey continues towards another landscape entirely. Guests travel to the coastal surroundings of Al Zorah, where the day slows over a leisurely lunch at Al Zorah Resort. The transition from Hatta’s craggy peaks to the coast makes the journey as much about seeing the UAE’s changing landscapes as the individual stops themselves.

The experience is designed for travellers who want to look beyond Dubai’s most familiar landmarks without having to plan a separate trip. • The eight-hour private experience starts from AED 6,300.
