For the third consecutive year since the list's debut, Four Seasons Hotel Firenze has been named #9 on the global ranking of The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025, reaffirming its place among the most exceptional destinations across the globe.

Unveiled during a dazzling ceremony at London’s Old Billingsgate, this year’s edition brought together the international travel and hospitality community to celebrate hotels that continue to shape the future of luxury travel across six continents.

Nestled within one of Florence’s largest private gardens, Four Seasons Hotel Firenze remains an emblem of the city’s artistry, blending Renaissance grandeur with authentic Italian hospitality. This year marked a new chapter with the reopening of Palazzo del Nero, an intimate historic palace pairing with Palazzo della Gherardesca inside the hotel, divided by the tranquil Gherardesca Garden, following meticulous renovation. Within its walls, Onde, the glamorous seafood osteria that recently celebrated its first anniversary, and Bar Berni, a vermouth-inspired cocktail bar, debuted alongside 36 redesigned rooms and suites, redefining the city’s contemporary luxury and lifestyle scene.

Emma Sleight, Head of Content for The World’s 50 Best Hotels, says: “We’re delighted to return to London for the third edition of The World’s 50 Best Hotels. It’s an honour to gather so many leading voices in travel, hospitality and hotels – and to celebrate the very best. Our warmest congratulations go to every hotel on this year’s list, each of which has clearly made a lasting impression on our newly expanded Academy of travel experts. We hope 2025’s list sparks inspiration for travellers as they plan their next trip.”

“This recognition holds a special meaning for us, as it celebrates the people who bring our property to life every day — our dedicated team and the guests who continue to choose us as their Florentine home,” says Max Musto, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Firenze. “Marked by the reopening of Palazzo del Nero, this year has been one of transformation and renewed energy, making this acknowledgment all the more special as we continue to evolve and celebrate everything that makes our hotel, and ultimately our city, so unique. Our mission remains at the heart of everything we do: to create moments where guests can experience the beauty of Florence, connect with our centuries-old history, and take home memories that will stay with them forever.”

The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025 was revealed as part of a live countdown from #50 to #1. The ranking is complemented by a host of special awards alongside the first-ever 51–100 list and reflects the very best travel experiences around the globe, collated from the votes of 800 anonymous experts.
