The magic of Christmas comes alive in Geneva this year, as Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues opens its doors with a variety of festive treats and creative celebrations to make the season unforgettable.

Each year in winter, Geneva transforms into a sparkling lakeside destination, with the festive glow of Christmas markets filling the air, and snow-capped mountains providing a wondrous backdrop. While the hotel itself takes on the warmth of the holidays, with traditional garlands, elegant ribbons, and a magnificent pine tree, the prestigious Rue du Rhône awaits just steps away, with luxury boutiques and world-class shopping available. For those seeking an alpine adventure, the city also offers effortless access to the surrounding slopes, ideal for pre- or post-ski escapes.

A place of seasonal charm, Geneva in December blends cosmopolitan elegance with outdoor adventure, and the enchantment of wintertime tradition. A stay at Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues is therefore a perfect choice for a full Christmas immersion.

Festive Tea Time

Infusing each afternoon with the spirit of the holidays, the hotel’s Festive Tea Time is hosted within the refined Salon Dufour. A moment of reconnection with loved ones, the experience includes an assortment of holiday-inspired pastries, delicate finger sandwiches, and fragrant spiced teas, all surrounded by a welcoming festive ambiance.

  • CHF 90 CHF per person; available every day between 3:00 and 6:00 pm

Creative Christmas Workshops

The excitement is ignited throughout December with a series of bespoke workshops, in partnership with Events by Loukia. Each moment of craftsmanship is a cozy and joyful way to spend time with friends and family, while also resulting in customized creations that are ideal as gifts, or home decorations.

The Christmas Wreath workshop enables everyone to create an eye-catching and traditional centrepiece for their dining table or front door. Combining natural greenery with ribbons, ornaments, and sparkly accents, each guest can create a personalized wreath that truly expresses their own style.

  • Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 2:30 to 5:00 pm
  • CHF 180 CHF per person; open to all ages 10 and above

The Christmas Nutcracker Painting workshop taps into everyone’s artistic spirit. Working at their own pace, guests can choose from a rich selection of colours, sequins, and decorative elements, and use them to paint their very own wooden Nutcracker.  A chilled glass of prosecco or warming cup of Christmas tea will be provided to help get the creativity flowing.

  • Tuesday, December 16, 2025, 3:00 to 5:00 pm
  • Complimentary and available to hotel guests only; open to all ages 6 and above

The Christmas Ornament Decorating workshop allows everyone to imagine and design their own festive bauble. With an abundance of paints and glitter, guests can showcase their holiday flair, resulting in a beautiful decoration for a tree or a handmade gift to share.

The Christmas Stocking Painting workshop is a playful twist on one of the season’s most iconic traditions. Joy for Little Ones

As everyone knows, the magic of Christmas begins in childhood. For young guests this year at Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues, the festive cheer will begin at check-in. Upon arrival, children will be welcomed with a Christmas Treasure Hunt Booklet, packed with quizzes, riddles, and scavenger hunts. The discovery then continues at turndown, with Christmas bedtime stories waiting beside their pillows.

But it wouldn’t be Christmas without a visit from jolly St. Nicolas himself. On December 24, 2025 between 3:00 and 5:00 pm, an exclusive Santa Claus Visit will be hosted at the Salon Dufour, where children can have their picture taken, before Santa begins his night of gift delivery across the world.

Christmas Yule Log

An annual treat at this special time of year, Pastry Chef Lyece Major presents his exquisite takeaway Yule Log. This Christmas, the elegant dessert is shaped in a festive knot, inspired by the ornamental garlands adorning the hotel’s façade. Two deluxe choices are available, including:

The Red Yule Log, offering a refined combination of chocolate croustillant, creamy Gianduja chocolate, and a mousse infused with cacao nibs and tangy Kalamansi caramel. The hazelnut dacquoise adds an extra layer of indulgence - made with the prized Fleur de Cazette from Burgundy.

The White Yule Log, offering a tropical twist on the classic, layered with coconut croustillant and dacquoise, silky passion fruit cream, mango compote, and a light white chocolate mousse.

Christmas Spa Experience

Inspired by Cleopatra’s legendary beauty rituals, Spa Mont Blanc invites guests into an opulent bathing experience where rose petals drift gracefully upon the water’s surface. The Queen of Roses is a sumptuous blend of creamy buttermilk, shea butter, and cocoa butter, which leaves the skin nourished, luminous, and silky-soft. The moment of serenity is heightened further by antioxidant-rich vanilla clouds, a blend of geranium and rose fragrance, and the lingering whisper of fine chocolate. Each royal escape begins with 30 minutes of private bathing in the couples’ treatment room, complemented by a glass of chilled champagne, and concludes with a deeply soothing 20-minute head massage.

Izumi Winter Lounge

Where better to take in the Geneva atmosphere than on the hotel’s iconic rooftop, where panoramic views of the lake and mountains unfold in all directions. For the very first time, the rooftop will stay open all winter, offering signature fusions of traditional Peruvian and Japanese flavours. Whether dining on the rooftop or inside by the library’s cozy fireplace, the Shabu-shabu Japanese Fondue is one experience not to be missed. Prepared by Japanese Chef Toshikazu Kato, this meticulously crafted sharing dinner unites everyone at the table around bubbling pots of broth, tender cuts of wagyu beef, seafood, and garden-fresh vegetables.

The Izumi joy continues at a special Christmas Eve Dinner on December 24, 2025. The ultimate early gift for a family, this incredible feast delivers 9 courses to enliven the senses, with highlights including a Festive Sushi selection, roasted Alaskan king crab, lobster Inaniwa udon, and braised Australian wagyu short ribs.

  • CHF 260 per guest, excluding drinks

Counting down the hours to 2026, Izumi also reveals two unforgettable New Year’s Eve Feasts, each taking diners on a culinary journey through the delicacies of Japan.

Hosted beneath the stars, the Rooftop Dinner includes multiple enticing stages, including a full Festive Nigiris selection, along with a fresh Usuzukuri trilogy and three main dishes of roasted seabream, char-grilled Kagoshima wagyu tenderloin, and traditional Kamameshi.
